I live in New Zealand and have experienced probably just under a dozen big earthquakes. At school we were always taught 'drop cover hold' being drop to the ground, cover your head/ get under something sturdy to cover you and then hold onto something. For example getting under a table and holding one of the legs. Hopefully you never need to do any of this in real life but it is definitely important to learn! Love your channel :)

Hello Just watched this video , your fire trucks are so different from ours in the U.K. Very interesting , on the show around the fire tender. Have you looked at purchasing a caterers kitchen fire blanket. They are especially designed for pan fires , they are compact and can be mounted on a wall along side your normal fire extingusher. Just check which colour fire extingisher you need in the kitchen. As there are different one to do different fires maybe ask your fire guy. And about where to get the kitchen fire blanket. The fire guy should also be able to show where to mount your fire extinguisher on each floor. They must be visable. 😊

A fire drill is very important even if there is no fire, reason being most kids actually don't know what to do when there is a fire at home, they might know what to do for school but maybe not at home, especially if they r young kids. Here is my earthquake story! *clears throat* The year was 2020 and it was the first day of lockdown. It was around 7:30 a.m. and I woke up to my mirror crashing down and many things falling, I immediately started crying because I had never experienced such an earthquake. (It was 5.7 on the Richter scale) I went downstairs after it ended. I sat under the table the whole day, terrified of another after shock. We played a few games under the table, and did my schoolwork. I finally became a brave 8 year old and exited the table. My mom even interviewed me for some reason. I felt an aftershock and ran back under the table. That’s really all I remember. I wouldn’t say traumatized, but it definitely started a fear of emergencies. Anyways, it’s so good that Tiffany and Benji love their kids so much and do all of this stuff for them!!

I love watching these videos! One thing I was taught by a fireman was to not stop for any personal items or pets because most pets find a way out themselves and you can buy anything you lose in a fire but you can't buy another life. And jumping out a window if you have no other option even if it means breaking a few bones is better than losing your life. And also staying close to the ground the entire time can help since heat rises. I learned this all from my neighbor who was in a fire and i witnessed it all and firemen. Another thing to think about is what you will do if you cannot communicate with each other. After the earthquake I felt, most people in the area lost cell service due to all of the calls people were making at the same time. Also think about how you will get home if you are out and about because there were traffic jams. I had to stand in front of my car in the parking lot because it was taking so long to clear. People were also being told to stay away from the windows of the buildings that those jammed on the sidewalk were all standing directly next to.

I was in the Northridge quake. Stay away from fireplaces. The bricks could be loose. You need water. Flashlights and canned food. After the quaking stops go outdoors in an open area. Watch cupboards that have a lot of food or dishes etc. You don’t want to get hit by something falling.

I’m sorry I’m late but here are thing you can do by those dangerous stuff 1. Go to toppest floor Flood I shall do food and water and phone to call emergency 🚨 2. Fire when there is one close door so there less chance fire can do get important stuff like mobile wallet food and water get some cozy blanket or clothes don’t forget car keys so you can sleep in the car 3. Earthquake go under tafels that cannot break easily don’t go under with stuff top above it there chance it can hit table to break and get injured 🤕 head 4.
