Lots of anticipation. How do you prepare elite group of players for a World Championship where only two teams go through from the top 5 ranked teams in the world? To qualify for the knock out stages is going to be exceedingly tough? Team cohesion is very important, but there has to be more. What can be done to give Scotland that vital edge that has so often been missing? I hear Gatland and Wales have given their players tasks they are uncomfortable doing to stretch them mentally beyond their comfort zone. It's Gregor's second World Cup in charge and he has a more experienced group of players ...... Does he have the man management edge to out compete the other managers and their squads? It is a tough, tough, tough knock out group. Scotland traditionally have not done well in these situations. I really hope they can out compete the very top teams. Here is hoping xxxxxxxxxxxxx!!!!!!!!

Scotland has an advantage in France. They will be support by all French fans at every games like they are playing at home. As well for Ireland.

We can enjoy the series at the moment, once the current U20s are test players their stories will be of countless mismanagement by the sru rendering the squad’s underprepared for every tournament they enter.

Huge men bashing into each other to gain half a metre but then Scotland have Finn Russel who doesn’t use that rather stupid and obvious book ..he plays with guile and intelligence and is I would say “The best no10 in the world “ …like Dan Carter before him he see’s and imagines and then acts without fear audacious play after audacious play …If France don’t win ..I hope Scotland do and this is from an England supporter who is already fearing that Arundel simply won’t see the ball to cast his magic ..actually imagine that Finn and Henry in the same team ..Wow
