I hear epidural has different experience for different people. For me i had my epidural in Kenya and it was the best thing ever and the easiest part of my delivery. When the guy was putting the catheter in, he 1st numbed my back area and the only pain i felt was the numbing injection which was a prick normal injection prick. After that the catheter going in was not painful. He just asked me to let him know when a contraction was coming & he would stop and continue after contraction is gone. I got it at 6cm & after that it only took me 1hr and i gave birth. Truth is with my epidural i was numb waist down wards and never felt any pain like even when i was pushing and contractions were coming i only felt pressure on my tummy and down there. Intense pressure no pain. I hear for someone women epidural doesnt work and i think that is what happened in your case coz you are not supposed to feel pain just intense pressure. What you read on the social about it numbing pain from waist downwards is true.

Girl! The epidural wasn’t fun. It was so painful, especially when they were putting it in, and I was having contractions at the same time 😅. I am laughing about it now, but then, I said I wasn’t doing this again 😅

Did they not give you a numbing injection first before administering the epidural. Coz i had it in Kenya and i 1st got a small injection to numb the area he will be working with and the only pain i felt was that little prick of the numbing injection aftee that i wasnt feeling anything, he would stop when contraction came coz he diemt want me to move and he miss it
