You guys are unbelievable, flies, dust, heat, bogging, shredded tyre, we are just so worn out from travelling. We have been on the road for 1.5 years and never been more relaxed !!!! We have been dodging cyclones, floods and just spent the entire wet season in far North Queensland. Wow, what an adventure, yes we have had car and van issues but that’s all part of the adventure. We are currently in Cooktown waiting for the roads to be repaired so we can keep marching on towards the tip. The last thing we would want to do is fly to Bali for a little rest to repair from all of the horrors we have faced, get real !!! Most people are forcing themselves out of bed each morning to head to a job they hate, just to survive !!!! We are all on the road living the dream and you think real Australians want to hear your pathetic whinging while your out there doing something they could only dream about, harden the fk up 😢😢

Yes, I just found your channel by mistake... If it is winter down the south of Aust you should head North to QLD as no Cyclones or the rainy season... And do the towns that you get Opals and Gems in the mines...I would love to see... Then Tassie but go there for over 3 months as I went only for 2wks not enough time at all... Love the episode guys stars still might a line and cross paths as also on our way to Victoria for warranty work on our Nova (would not recommend) and also visiting Wonderland Caravans not far away to finalise build on our new van.One company that will actually build what you want and in a decent time frame.Didn’t cross paths around Ceduna but I did see you did catch crabs off the jetty.At Mount Gambier and booked in at Bendigo,Ballarat,Kilmore van service 10,000 km Dandenong Ultimate Diesel tune on the 200 series then back home for a bit on the east coast Newcastle area before heading North to QLD then turn around again to head maybe finally to do the lap because at the moment we are going up and down but not around.Things always change stay safe Rod and Jenny 🦐🐟🦈🎣👍

Ha ha Troy seems to be finding his brothers from other mothers around the country as so many can relate to him which is so nice. Sounds like a great plan! Our suggestion would be to get the premium waterfront sites, I'm sure we mentioned in the video what site we were on but you can always look at the park map as that's what makes the location not being behind someone else's caravan. 😁 Another option is Yanakie Caravan Park on the water just outside of Wilsons Prom. There's a great pizza restaurant in Yanakie too. Good luck!

I also feel you have learnt a lot from your adventures. I did wonder what you were doing in that part of the country at that time of the year. Carawine gorge is a wonderful place in winter as it is 15-25 degrees and you can enjoy the solitude. Marble Bar is also a great place to visit in Winter. There are a lot of places to visit around there but just not in summer. Hope you get to enjoy those places at a better time of year. Just a bit of advice. We were told the wind starts in September and ends in May on the WA coast. That is most people visit there for May to September for the beautiful beaches. 😮

G’day Troy and Laura, what a shame you could continue on your “ big lap “, but as you have said in the up date, things change, which is something no one can really control. Great explanation of why your back in Victoria “ with the biggest debt “. I’m with you on why you can’t get the same type of tyre anywhere in Australia, it just doesn’t make sense, as those tyre companies are huge. In regards to the mangled tyre, it doesn’t matter who it is, no one in this world is perfect, we all make mistakes. I suppose the “ journey unknown “ so far has been a “ shake down “ of what caravan layout you want, what to or not to take etc, on such a big journey. I appreciate that you both are “ down to earth “ with your explanations and appreciation of support. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. We have an ‘Australis’ caravan being built later this year - has a seperate bedroom. Looked at lots of different options - just couldn’t go past this caravan manufacturer. Could be worth a look-see. They are Melbourne based. Understand your reasoning for returning home - we have loved watching your episodes. Now will watch with interest your caravan build, hopefully your wedding, and other journey unknown events.😁🌺

Hi Terry, great question. 100% we would move slower. Our advice is to work out where your bucket list locations are, ours were Esperance, Bremer Bay for the Orca tour and Ningaloo Reef. Therefore, these are the locations we would stay for 5-10 days. Then you map your journey to those destinations. Will you go coastal, inland or outback and when? We were always on the same page, when the heat was too much or the corregations were testing us and Coco, we would find an alternative road that's bitumen or a caravan park with a pool and power that we could just stay put for a while until we were ready to get back out there. If we didn't need to turn around, we would've essentially done the figure 8 instead of the lap. Around the west coast, down the centre, break at home, then up the east coast and across the top. It's good because you break up the heat and also, we travelled when you couldn't have fires so it's nice to head south to VIC, TAS & NSW and get to light a fire and have some cooler weather. You don't need to do the traditional "lap", do your lap and that can be however you see it to be. Finally, when you get home, unpack, wash everything, clean the van and then plan a trip somewhere. It could be overseas or it could be Hamilton Island, but somewhere that you don't have to cook, clean, drive or worry about anything. Good luck with the planning!
