I mean yeah, CAN live like that. But without the knowledge of today and modern medicine and its conveniences only about 1/3rd of people will live past 2 and only 10% will make it past 45. Just like back in the day. People don't know how common miscarriages and infancy death was, it's so rare nowadays.

This is exactly what i did as Indonesian in 80's & 90's. But now my home in central Java had become a city, with many modern development. Miss that moments: playing in the river in the back of my grandma's houses, looking for breadfruit, cassava, cashew. Playing kites, marbles, hide n seek with my friends. Draw water from the well when you want to bath or wash, and so many memories i i never forget. Ghossh really miss that moments.

Sounds like a beautiful childhood ☺️ But yes, things change quickly. It’s also changing quickly here, especially in the villages. It’s one of the reasons we wanted to start this channel. To document this way of life and show its value before it’s too late 🤍

or go to river or lake to wash clothes and take a bath. When we were young like 6 - 8 years old we visited the province up north of Luzon (Ilocos Norte) where they don't have streetlights at that time. We would go from aunt's place to grandparent place with cousins only the big gas lamp they were holding to light our path but could not see what's ahead of us. As we would pass the old tall trees, they started telling ghost stories while we were walking in the dark and we (the little ones) were screaming and crying because we were so scared but those were the happy memories that I could not forget.

I absolutely enjoyed seeing the life you lived fr 3 years. 1st time ever discovering your channel. I too live on an island, not off-grid as yet, but I do not have all the amenities as yet and my home is still in the construction phase while I inhabit it. So I too have some similar experiences. It's a great reminder watching this video that we go through differnt phases and they do not last forever, so enjoy each phase and do not complain about it. There is beauty in the mundane and unpopular things. All the best with your new home.

Aww, I loved this video and am so happy and proud of both of your hard work and growth for the past three years. I live completely off grid too with no electricity or running water and life. Is. HARD!! I was raised taking bucket showers and cooking using a portable stove and my toilet is a bucket. Hauling water with no well since I live in a lava field sucks!! It’s definitely not for everyone but living simply sure is beautiful 🤎🌿🌴🌻💕 I can’t wait to be able to get solar!! 😂 Life changing lol. ❤
