Not to be offending you guys, but saying that SMIC will catch up with TSMC is just a way of telling your audience that you don't actually understand the industry... Other than EUV (the most complex equipment in the world), SMIC needs to spend a lot of time to do R&D before catching up with them. Even the South Koreans also struggle to keep up with them... In terms of mature nodes, yes China is going to dominate it soon, but NOT advanced node (at this moment). Besides that, what's the implications of SMIC finally catch up with TSMC...? My opinion is nothing will happen/change, the global tech giants are still going to order from TSMC (they are ban from manufacturing nodes that are 7nm or below for China players now)
