Thank you for being a great example of how to live a beautiful and relaxed life appreciating the "little things", nature, hand made artisan products and everything else around you. It's beautiful to explore Ecuador from your fresh, kind, loving and positive perspective. It uplifts our Spirits and puts a smile on our face! :)

It's cheaper than most places as it's mostly undiscovered by retirees

I just watched another of your videos where you mention you like butter on your breakfast buns. I recommend to buy butter in the supermarket, since butter from small stores sometimes has a rancid smell, also in some restaurants mainly along the coast line. Usually you get both salted and unsalted butter everywhere, but it is one of the few products I prefer from the supermarket. I hope you keep enjoying your life in Ecuador and you find my recommendation of any use.

Thanks for watching and yes we love recommendations from the more experienced.

You wanted to know why the Fresh coconut water tastes better than store bought...2 reasons. Store bought is pasteurized and is in a plastic lined container, bottle....hence, BPA...none of that with the Fresh coconut😅

Greetings from Miami, you are an inspiration to me, you make very relaxing videos and teach us to enjoy the little things in life. If you could do a house tour it would be great, your house looks very nice, by the way is it rented or bought? Thank you.
@KrisandMike Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching our video. We probably won't do a full house tour just for privacy reasons. However, we are looking at doing a future video on renting and buying within our local area and showing some houses and apartments.
@andreaadams5401 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your refreshingly unique and informative videos. Are you renting where you are? If so, may I ask how much a month you pay? Thank you, Andi
@KrisandMike Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching our video. We purchased a house against all conventional wisdom. We will be doing a video in the future about why we bought versus renting. Having said that, we do believe that most people should rent at first.

LOVE the beach walk!! Question for Kris - have you found anyone to maintain your pretty highlights nearby, or will you be looking for a salon in Cuenca or other larger town? Im naturally dark blonde and highlights keep me looking bright and happy 😃. Have wondered how it’ll be in a dark-haired country and assumed I’d have to look for the touristy spots for stylists experienced with bleach… ? PS I’m a tool gal, too! The table is gorgeous.
@KrisandMike Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the compliments! I am pleasantly surprised in my hair. The sun is making enhancing my highlights. I will probably try to find someone close by but if that’s a flop I am adventurous enough to go for a whole new look. That table will be in a future video….A great story goes with that.

@@KrisandMike LOL I’ve been every color from red to brunette as well as blonde, so I feel ya!! Looking forward to the table deets, and the critters at the end of this vid are amazing - hope that becomes a regular! And love the vid schedule - nice that you’re living your life beyond the YT focus, as it seems to take over for so many. Anyhoo, hope you both have a great week!

should bargain more, i know people work hard there but just paying what they ask for causes prices to keep going up and affecting locals and future people wanting to retire as the prices are driven up by foreigners who finds it cheap

Yes you are right. It will take us a few months to get used to it.

@carmenmunteanu437 Жыл бұрын
Julio, you are soo correct! This has also happened to Portugal in the last 3 years. Currently the Portuguese are not able to even rent in the main cities & are driven out to the rural areas where prices also went up. Its like a domino effect! We need to carefully preserve the customs and culture of the place we choose to call home for all of us.
@JulioGarcia-rn2lb Жыл бұрын
@@carmenmunteanu437 yes, i am from ecuador migrated when i was 12 yrs old. I visit ecuador once a year, with that being said locals most of the times try to overcharge foreigners. The time that I have purchase large items such as bed or services i usually negotiate a 20 to 40 percent down from what they ask for and most of the time they agree.
