I just came across your family vlogs just a few days ago. I enjoy watching you and your family. I grew up in Tucson, AZ and many of the things you and your family do I grew up doing too. I think it's great that you can raise your kids with the same freedoms my parents & I (with my own kids) like letting them live life instead of sitting in the house stuck on tv or internet. You have a great family. I think you and your husband are doing a great job raise your beautiful family. Thanks for sharing your life. I hope your Familia have many blessings.

New subscriber here! I'm native american from Memphis TN and my husband was born in Aguascalientes Mexico and grew up there. He was transferred to Laredo TX for work and then to Dallas where he became a U.S. Citizen and my husband. I would LOVE to move to Mexico as his family is all still over there but we can't as he has to stay here in DFW for work. I love your story and think your children will have the best of both worlds going back and forth and being bilingual is so helpful in life.

Just ran into your Chanel recently, I like your blogs. I was born in Mexico, when my parents legalized us children in 1996 we all tick a trip back to Mexico and I feel in love. I am one of 5 siblings that go back every year. I gave birth to my daughter in Mexico. We came back to the states after she was 6 months. We still go back yearly. She also loves en enjoys Mexico as much as I do . Your kids are privileged to be able to experience life in Mexico.

We had the same scenario but found a workaround on the 1 year wait for the 2nd (pardon request) appointment. He made the appointment in the USA (prior to leaving) and scheduled the 2nd appointment for 1 week after the initial appointment. So he went to the initial appointment/hearing- was denied and barred. He waited the week for the 'pardon request' appointment- was approved and flew home the next morning. Total 1 week in Juarez. Many people don't now that you can do this.

The other day you and Abbey talked about the glass in the back field. When I lived in Honduras, we had outhouses for bathrooms! Being from Alabama, it was not my favorite thing! But I just remembered that whenever I broke a dish or bottle, my husband would take it and put it in the "hole". I asked why and he said because some kids don't have shoes and there is no public garbage system here, so they will cut their feet! After the "hole" was full, they would move over a few feet and dig another one. I bet that is why you keep finding old pieces of broken glass! I enjoy watching your beautiful family. It reminds me of my story and my love for Honduras!

Hello! My name is Rebecca and I am a mother of four from Illinois. My husband is from Morelia, Michoacan and we are going through the process of him getting his papers as well. We are at the last step of waiting for the appointment in Juarez. My husband always talks about the wonders of when he was a kid in Mexico in his small rancho. I never understood him because my life has always been in the suburbs surrounding Chicago. He always says how free he felt there and I always thought we were in the "Land of the Free". Watching your videos has given me a perspective of what it is like there and it seems so similar to what my husband describes his town to be like. Your videos make me want to move to Mexico as my husband dreams, so my children can grow up with a sense of community, safety, and freedom. I enjoy watching your videos and think it's amazing how you handle your household with your husband in the U.S. Question: How did you get into photography and did you go to school for it? Thanks for reading my comment if you get to it :D

Hi I found your page by chance and love it! I am from North Carolina and now live married in Guatemala. My mom is from Costa Rica and dad is from NC but I learned to speak spanish when I was around 10. My parents took the decision to move to Costa Rica with your same ideal, offering us kids a great place to grow up. My sisters and I became fluent in spanish pretty fast going to school. I can identify so much things with you all, it feels like what we did! In another video you posted you asked how you wondered how your kids brain flipped from spanish to english and vice versa, for us when we spoke in spanish normally we thought in spanish and when speaking english our chip moved and thought in english LOL, it is still like that for us now! All though now married to a Guatemalan I get to speak more in spabish cause I do not have anyone to speak in english with me, or should I say my spanglish! Don't loose faith, you will learn spanigh, just try to speak more in spanish and try translating words and memorizing meanings, you will build up your vocabulary fast and bit by bit you will speak it more fluently. Also try to watch TV in spanish, its incredible but you learn a lot doing so! God bless you all, saludos desde Guatemala- Espero puedas leer esto pronto!

I married a Mexican guy we knew each other in HS my brother 's best friend . Hi's parents also were born in California they speak both languages too. Thanks for sharing! It's never too late to learn Spanish or get mexican citizenship. You can get citizenship through your grandparents (or parents too if they got registered in Mexico after they were born in the us), so it opens doors to more opportunities! U just need to show their birth certificates at consulate. So easy. Greetings
