I also felt so worthless and ugly and fat. Sometimes I would do something that would hurt me just to make myself beautiful. I felt stupid and horrible. Sometimes my friends would always get boyfriends easily and I thought why didn't I get one and then I was saying to myself I am so useless. And I asked myself "What is my purpose in life if I was ugly" and everyone told me I was beautiful but sometimes I don't believe that until one day my friend had made me believe in myself that I was beautiful. She told me you don't need one because you are beautiful and independent and one day you will find the man of your dreams. You just need to wait for the right time. I felt beautiful and I didn't care what anyone else said.

I respect your choices, though i'm an atheist. Religion is so personal and is connected to the life experiences of a human being... Charisma, you've lived tough moments and the help you needed in that situation was God's help.. I respect that ad i appreciate you found a way out from the pain and suffering. It made you a stronger person! So, being atheist or religious is a personal choice, it cannot afflict other People's life..sure, you may sound extremely religious (and i think you are a little :P ) but i respect it. Hi Charisma! I hope you read this because I've been wanting to say this for 5 years... I saw this video when I was in grade nine. I heard your story, how God wrote it. And I've been thinking about it ever since... I was told when I was 13 by the Holy Spirit who I would marry. He told me I needed to start confessing it, start letting it manifest in the Spiritual because there was going to be a lot of spiritual attacks on it. My faith has only grown stronger. Sometimes things will happen and I will lose faith, wondering if it was all in my head, if I made it all up. but then God comes and reminds me about the things He's confirmed over it, the things he has told people about it, who have then confirmed it with me. But throughout the years, I've been visualizing how I meet this person, how it all goes down, and I keep coming back to your story. How your story played out, how you guys never dated (if I remember correctly? I'm re watching this video but haven't gone all the way through it while I'm typing this out lol). So I pray and pray about it. Even though God says I don't have to worry about how my destiny plays out, but I guess its a girly thing, to visualize your happy ending. I love your story. I don't think I have never not thought about it. I've been searching for this video for years, and today I found it. I just wanted to tell you, after all these years, thank you for sharing it. Thank you for encouraging me to have faith in God about my future marriage, thank you for making me realize I can have the desires of my heart because of the love God has for me. I hope you read this and reply, I would also like to talk to you one on one, get your advice, and hoping you could mentor me on some stuff. God is really encouraging me to confide in someone to help me manifest it even more. Thank you Charisma! Your life is so blessed and I can only hope for one half as good. :)

I watched this many years ago and I thought it was beautiful, but now that I’ve grown up my testimony has become very similar to yours Charis. I’ve learned so much through my mistakes and have gone through similar things throughout my life. I was feeling so over the whole princess thing but rewatching this has reminded me that God loved me first and will be my first love. Bro I was 8 when I last watched this I was so innocent and young and didn't really understand most of it I just watched it cause it was a charisma star video and I loved her at the time now rewatching this at 17 and going back and seeing that she now has kids and actually comprehending and going through alot of what she went through with being bullied and feeling lost and giving up hope the video made literal tears stream down my face it's such an inspirational beautiful story and I always watch it I didn't know it at the time but I think unconsciously from watching charis I picked up alot things like patience and to always have hope it's so funny that I first started watching her for makeup and now 9 years later coming back and seeing how much she's grown and and how much I've grown I wish everyone here finds someone who cherishes them and loves them and treats them with love respect and care and never stop believing in God even on the days when you feel like you're at your lowest

I just read your comment and the first thing that went through my mind was how gorgeous you are that you should please never give up on meeting that person. God is probably preparing that prince who is worthy of having a princess like yourself. I am 23 and just got out of a 3 year relationship. It was quite devastating for me and sometimes I get a little worried about meeting someone else and getting to know that person etc But I find comfort and peace in knowing that God probably wants me to be made whole at this point in my life before I go into another relationship, so that I may be able to give abundantly and not only take. I was a depressed, lonely, disappointed 15 year old the first time I watched this video. I remember sobbing, thinking, "Oh, Lord, if you could only give me a relationship as wonderful as this..." I didn't think that anything as fantastic as this could ever happen to me. I'm 19 now, and the only man I have ever loved just proposed to me under fireworks at Disney World. Dreams do come true. Back in 6th grade I was bullied by the way I dressed and looked, and too this day I still have bad self esteem about myself, but by 8th grade I'm in a relationship that has last for 7th months and we are still together too this day. Even though I have bad self esteem about myself but yet he said "your beautiful just the way you are babe" and it made me feel good about myself but yet still have self esteem because what has happen in 6th grade.

Oh Charis you are so beautiful. As you told your bullying story I could relate so much. No one seems to understand what I mean when I say that Ive been told Im fat and ugly so often by so many different people that you start to believe it because it has to be true if so many people say it. No one has ever understood that and while I am heart broken that you went through that it brings me peace in knowing that I wasnt the only one who went through that but...more importantly, it brings me peace knowing you pushed through. Knowing, in the end no matter how it happened, you fell in love with your Prince Charming and have been successful in life and passion and career. You are a true inspiration. I have found too that people who inspire, or people who WANT to inspire, have gone through some of the worst obstacles life can throw at them. Most of the people I look up to have been through pain and sorrow and still suffer in some cases (depression, anxiety etc) but they prevail because they are strong. Because they find something worth being strong for. I am so happy for you. I dont even know you personally but I have been a fan of your work for so long, you're one of the people I look up to and after watching this video I feel like I know you better and on a different kind of level. Inspiring! I am being bullied and teased and you helped me realize that thoes bullies are not either loved, christian, or just enjoy hurting others. Even if people are chubby, and not in the 'cool' kid club, that doesn't matter. One of my favorite saying is it isn't the outside that matters but the inside that counts. Yes! At the very least I hope young people get out of her story is that it's like many of ours and 'it gets better'. Those miserable years in transition of middle/high school are while they seem like forever it's really only like 2 out of hopefully 80+ years on this earth! I teared up watching this thinking about myself and how mean people are sometimes. Those girls in that locker room are mean and jealous. They are jealous because they knew that one day that you would become as big as you are now and that you get to do all of this Disney channel stuff. So they were mean to you. I'm so glad that you did not commit suicide because there are a lot of people who watched this and are changed because of what you wrote. Love you!

i absolutely LOVE THIS!!! as a catholic teen i can say from my perspective that it is hard to live for the lord in this material world, i've had my ups and downs in relationships and my insecurities have been a bundle of mess but this love story has giving me such an amazing amount of hope and i'm so glad God has put you two together this is true love right here guys awhh ❤️❤️

I'm in Junior High and I'm chubby and i get bullied a lot :'( I stopped listening to those people when somebody at my school i didn't know came up to me and looked me in my eyes and called me beautiful.

I love this video. It's super inspiring and heart touching. I also have a sort of similar love story. After my husband of 8 years cheated on me and had a baby with someone else. It was extremely hard, and I found comfort in God, I prayed constantly and I knew that God was either gonna make away to remove him from my life or make things better for us. After about 8 months of babies mama drama, and all the negativity and hurt . I ended things, and asked for a divorce . I continued to find peace and comfort in the Lord, and I made a vow to myself and to God that I would not date anyone, or talk to anyone until he sent me the right man. Almost a year later, a man that I'd been friends with on Facebook for a long time, showed interest in meeting me in person. So I agreed to meet him, and to be honest I didn't really like him?! I guess I was scared to love someone again, scared to be hurt again. So I pushed him away, every time he would ask if I was free for a dinner or coffee or something like that, I would always say I was too busy. And I'd pray and pray and I was like OKAY, it's obvious this man is consistent at pursuing me. So I asked God If this is the right man, give me a sign. And he did!!! . . . After about two months of coffees and lunches, and dinners, and house painting my new home!, I was falling for him. We got engaged about a year after dating, and then two months before our wedding date, I found out I had Cancer, I needed surgery to have it removed and I'd need to have radiation afterwards. . . . The Wedding was canceled. :( . . . . after another 8 months I was finally said to be Cancer Free, and we got married two months later! He has always been supportive, loving and caring and respectful of me. He's honest, kind and caring. And super Good to me! I still to this day count my blessing of how much God loved me to send me the perfect man.
