this video was great! Love the informal style and it was nice to see progress on the railroad. As Fall and winter set in, biggest problem for me is deciding which projects to do first!
@historybuff74912 ай бұрын
Yes, this was fun. Good luck with all your projects (or the one big project ... however you look at it). I liked seeing the bead weaving. I am finishing up a doll, and clothes, all in beads. I find this art form very relaxing. Having the magnifiers on, with the light pointed on the beads, it allows me to really focus on the beads, and the outside world fades away. The beaded doll is a challenge (to myself) because a local art show took out doll making, but left bead weaving in.

Yep, the basic structure will remain but all the electrics including the plug at the base are all going to be different now. In fact, I’m getting rid of that base and replacing it with a through the benchwork base so that it just goes straight down onto the wood platform. Looks much better that way, but it requires a very stable mount. Because there’s wind, there’s snow, and of course there’s squirrels!

I have not seen one small enough but how about a spring clip to hold the sign onto the post. If you can't get one small enough you could make one.
@ToyManTelevision2 ай бұрын
That was my original plan but last night I hit on something different. Since the top comes off quite easily when changing the lightbulbs and so on, I’ve rigged up a sleeve so that the entire sign section just slides down over the post and then locks in place. Now that I say that out loud, I can see a serious problem with it! Sounds like I’m going to be redesigning again.
@AndrewJohnson-ur3lw2 ай бұрын
@@ToyManTelevision another idea - secured by a piece of wire twisted around the pole attached to rear of sign.
@ToyManTelevision2 ай бұрын
@ thought about that. But as long as I use the small electrical plug that can pass through the sleeve I can mount the signs on a tube and just slide it over the center pole. I built it last night and assembled the light except for the base which I haven’t built yet, anyway it works! I wish I could post a photo. Well I can! In the community tab!! I’ll try.
