he doesnt say mawlid is haram and shirk. what he is trying to say is haram things shouldnt be added in mawlid. the pure mawlid includes reciting Quran, sending salawah upon the prophet saw, making duas and talking about the prophet saw and the events that took place on his birthday. these practices are permissible and what make mawlid mustahab(recommended) is doing these nafl ibadat on mawlid.

That's the problem. NO ONE does a mawlid in a perfect way. Rather gossiping, shirk (asking madad from wali), misinterpretation of hadith, missing of Salah (men go to the mosque whilst the women miss Salah because other men start giving ladies food) takes place. This all goes against Qur'an and sunah. We will never live in a perfect world that is why this is not allowed.

I don't believe Mawlid to be permissible but when i did, the reasons that Shaykh Asrar Rashid had mentioned in this video were the very reasons why i initially left. May Allah swt preserve Shaykh Asrar & bless him immensely Barak'Allahu Feekum.

How unlucky few people are that they don't even have the right to do gathering and talk about their prophet. Uhh! Although, this should be done every single day without having to single out a few days within the year. If we truly love Rasool'Allah, we must take out a few weeks to read his biography ﷺ. In India.. our mawleed gathering contain:: 1) zikr e rasoolAllah ﷺ 2) naat khwani 3) salat o salam on RASULALLAH ﷺ 3) some times Radd e badmazhab also because in India its a need, many sunni muslims joins the sunni conference in the time of mawleed so it is important to make them aware about the ghair firk... After all we all respect you sheikh you're a true olema e ahle sunnat... I love you and all India Pakistani turkish syrian yamni misri and each and every sunni olema... Love you all♥️

I been to meelads in south africa myself and its not what that brother is claiming it to be they dont do qatam of the quraan and before the meelad they visiting graves spending hours there be truthful in what you do and say and the prophet pbh never mentioned about muslims performing the meelad or moulood its an inovation and the naaths are emphacised to praise sheikh abdul kader jilani mostly

Though I'm Salafi, if he was local to me would happily follow him and be a barelvi, but unfortunately our local barelvi mosques don't really teach anything, just singing and food ceremonies and just money hungry.

I am glad to hear You would happily follow him. It is not singing when you are praising the Beloved although if you refer to any musical instruments and/or tunes based on music tracks that is another topic and adjustments do need to be made. Feeding the ummah is an act of reward just as the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) did and unfortunately 'chasing money' is a disease which has grasped with it many people. I do hope you understand the issues you may have are the issues we as the 'Ahlus Sunnah' are trying to ensure we correct to remove the bad habits that may exist, Jazak'Allah

W Salam, Mawlid is permissible, certain actions which are taking place should not be and certain changes need to be made as not everyone agrees with certain elements, this is the point of the discussion and these issues are being addressed, so please could you elaborate?

If you were listening to the quran being recited by qari abdul basit....how would you listen? Would ur body move?? How did nabi e kareem listen to hasaan bin sabit recite their naat?? Its a shame that 2+2=6 according to this mind set! By Allah nabi e kareem said the awlia (peer) are those when you look at there faces you will remember allah. So ofcourse every wali is sunna. But whose fault is it that your jamaat holds no beauty! I wonder why? Stop making problems in your mind that don’t exist! Naat has been read and written from the time of the sahaba. So tell me oh najdeys y u now think u need to challenge???

I think You are confused? I am assuming you are saying without doubt that your body would move when listening to the Holy Qur'an/Naat. This is fine but that only is acceptable when you are mesmerized by the recitation. If You are simply moving your head due to the tune and you don't even understand what the Naat verses refer to then this is wrong. This is what the Shaykh is trying to explain.

TheSunniStudent I am by no means comparing naths to the quran shareef but what someone is understanding or not understanding is not for us to say. When listening to the eulogies written by saints like Pir Syed Mehr Ali and Ala Hazrat Ra they realy are from the tafseer of the quran. Now like i mentioned earlier that listening to Their naat the messenger also rocked from side to side. So to call it haraam or bidat? Can u realy say that?? Yes some people may not have any idea of what the meaning of the words are but lots of time the ulama explain accordingly.

Calling each other Biddati - first time I have heard this, please do give an example? and it is better to rectify issues than leave them. If someone i.e. Sunni Muslim does something, it does not mean the majority within the Ahlus Sunnah agree, people may say it is wrong but you will point at the person who has done something and say look this is what Sunni's do, this is not how it works.

The Shaykh shouldn't be judgemental that this happens in all masjids (aahm). The rocking the heads again is hazy bcoz zikr is done via body movements & nafi asbat which is our relation to Sufism. More can be done but in those gatherings are a mixture of Sunnis, new converts, Deobandis, Shia, Muslims who want to reconnect with Allah & lovers of the Prophet. The Shaykh shouldn't knock a gathering whr 1000s upon 1000s of Daroods are read & carried by the angels to Rasoolullah SallAllahualaihiwasallam. He shouldn't also knock Indian-Pakistanis, we are sinful but Allah has mercy upon us & will inshaAllah forgive us.

But if we kept our Mawlid gatherings solely to the remembrance of Allah and His Beloved then this would be better. There would be less conflict on matters which should not even need to be discussed and the gatherings would be even more successful. Furthermore, if people deem this to be ok then it may be fine but who knows what future generations will also deem to be ok - maybe a cake saying 'Mera Peer Sohna' - it's a point to ponder upon. Better to tackle the issues now so it does not create further issues - Jazak'Allah for your comment.
