hello! I think it cannot be used on induction hob as it does not have a magnetic metal element for induction to work.

Very effective use of spaces, with minimal to no hacking to original HDB BTO provision. Seems like you both already knew how you want and layout… Did you use a contractor only or rely on ID?

thanks for watching! :) we engaged an ID but we were very much involved in the entire process

Lovely place...could you share with me the contact to make the tvbox mirror. Thanks
@allaboutjakeandemma
@allaboutjakeandemma 2 жыл бұрын
thanks for watching! :) the mirror was done by the ID and their contractor so we do not have the contact. however, note that the mirrors had to be remade as they were warped, so we don't recommend engaging them anyways.

I am new trying to design my bedroom into... ... hotel suite... ... or personal palace. Now the problem is, your room doesn't look luxurious... ... because your walls are... ... too average, worse... ... your bed is connected to the side drawers wrongly, makes the room feel tight and ONLY off-balance in that bed area. The ONLY commendable part is the wardrobe. And this room of yours I can't stay in because... ... in humid Singapore with the government allowing second hand smoke that kills one per day and harms many more, your room is not 'breathing''. And it is not just about getting a dehumidifier with a washroom connected to your bedroom... ... A couple of adults generate huge moisture per night and you will need fresh air to lower carbon dioxide, and your bed... ... is the ONLY major thing that will absorb moisture , but the mattress hence will be a haven for bacteria and molds over time as moisture level builds up and these micro-organisms themselves also urinates and excrete, increasing humidity at micro level and acidic destructions. Which is why when things are new, it looks ok, but you started wrong. You have to use shiny tiles for the flooring, and I am installing marble-like surfaces to the walls... ... and doing up the celling, with installations of UVC sources to eliminate those jokers on the MaxBond-ed celling construct. Yes... ... no nails that will rust with toxic powder spreading around from the top, and no wood that will rot with mites and molds setting shop at the top. You see the point is, the basic set up must be the priority concern, then... ... the wall beauty, then the furnishing. I also got a bed that sits on the floor like yours, BUT I am having a heading as it is arriving in weeks, and why? Because if you forget to close the windows or pushed open by the wind... ... all the wetness will crawl onto your bed surfaces, and slipping into the tiny gaps under your bed. And what will happen? You can't just pick up your bed and wipe and clean the bio-debris daily... ... since we ain't superheroes. So I am rush to panel-shops to get a layer of flooring to elevate the bed floor for the bed, then... ... seal up the new floor for the bed with silicon. After which... ... I am setting up aero-dynamics... ... that the air flow will go through three filtration , as fresh air, but loaded with industrial waste gas and second hand smoke will come in, and set up aluminium layer in the part of the room where the wind power will concentrate, and also cool metal surfaces which won't rust will be positioned to take out as much moisture as possible, then only you can set up your aircon, which for me will be a portable aircon cum purifier, without HOLEs in the walls, circulating molds and moistures and bacteria from the old folks across the room. And yes, you have to install a cheap but PVC board to fan out the air, with a tiny fan or two at $10 ea from MR DIY, while the other PVC board will have a hole or two... ... blocked by cheap $10 BIG Hepa 12 filter/s. This will, while pushing out the air, pressured fresh air through the filter. I am also setting up mobile but sealed panel of book holding whatever to block the main entrance... ... while moisture will gather at the corridor shared by my old parents' room, 3 UVC lamps will be blasting at the area. I got a fan, Panasonic one given by my cousin, to make sure the corridor is usually 'air/moisture circulated. There will be mold spores everywhere... ... but they must not gathered outside my door. Then of course, the lights... ... I am making my own 'wardrobe'... ... by dumping clothes in PVC boxes, ironed out the moisture weekly... ... and making shelves similar to yours... ... but no enclosure. Enclosure in Singapore means mites, molds and all sorts. Only a few usually needed garments and such will be hanging, with my watches and such placed. And I am thinking of getting $4 psf porcelain tiles (60cm x 90cm ea) to make my luxurious book case or shelves, and a marble top computer table... ... plus a marble top small personal dining table. No wood. The book shelve will use tempered glass for holding boards... ... and lights will make the 'furniture' or setup unusually majestic. All custom made and custom positioned, and that means.... ... cheap. I am also making a hanging cabinet... ... BUT the real catch is NO nails or screws. MaxBond the outer layers into a box... ... get the hanging board from IKEA, and hang my son's toy guns, then cover or the door a piece of mirror... ... which will slide up and down with hydraulic hinges. Hee hee hee hee hee... ... And yes... ... other than the lights and sadly the UVC lamps, NOTHING remote control. No why... ... the waves from these SMART gadgets will toast your brains constantly, especially if connected to internet. That's really stupid, but more and more are doing this sort of things. So... ... this is my room in making. All can be done rather easily. See? You just need to understand what a bedroom really needs. And learning the designs of luxurious bedroom online (KZbin), just cut and paste materials and lay lights accordingly with pasting also mirror, getting the color themes right... ... A $70,000 renovation job... ... done with a few rounds of GST vouchers is so achievable. Hehehehehehe~ You don't need to break the banks, if you use your brains. See?
