Ah but I think it's probably the same or cheaper here when you account for the massive amounts you can get eating out here. It's usually amounts to 2 meals for each of us.

Council tax is probably £1000 -£3000 per year depending on the area you live in/ how size of the property.

Hi.. My UK visa is on process. Am working in chennai for Big IT company for 9 yrs almost and they sending me for onsite to UK and they giving me Skilled Worker visa While analyzing points by myself Without submitting english certificate I am getting 70 points.. Will it be fine? Or will they reject just because I dint submit English certificate I did my schoolings and UG in tamil medium, PG in English but degree certificate I will receive next year only. Since employer itself is sending me should I be worried?

Yes that is a great salary and you will not struggle at all. After pension contributions and tax you will earn roughly £4000 a month so using this video as an example you would have a lot of money left over. With this salary you could live very comfortably in a 1/2 bed flat in a relatively expensive area such as Canary wharf and still save. Going a little further out of central London you could have a nice house and in a commuter town (if you WFH most day) a very nice house. Of course saving up a large deposit and buying a property is potentially the more sensible thing to do if you are planning on staying in London for the foreseeable future.
