There was a mod for Lethal Company that allows you to see a body cam of the person you are monitoring. I usually stay in the ship and teleport when I see danger is too great. Ofc we do have code words and we use walkie talkies to communicate.

If ya dont have coms, the best thing ya can do is collect the items they drop outside the door til the time hits 4pm in the game as monsters at night come out at 6pm. So 4pm is a good leeway before just staying in the ship

Since you've gone this long and haven't figured it out yet, you can short hand commands on the terminal. For example, you can type "pro 4" then "c" to order 4 pro flashlights and then confirm it. You should also try typing "SIGURD" into the terminal. That's from the yellow post it note that's on the side of the terminal.
