Oh, speaking of the high-altitude. I lived in Colorado Springs for ~10 years and I could never seem to get a confident answer. Since your basic pump gas is 85 octane (because of the altitude, not because it's a complete scam) instead of 87 like the rest of the USA, what impact does that have on a turbo charged engine? The entire time I lived there, I put "mid" grade 87 octane in my car just to be safe. And it was a stock turbo car, no tuning.

The impact is it's less resistant to knock and detonation. Turbo cars are squeezing a larger mass of air per cylinder volume than a NA engine which makes them more sensitive to bad gas. If the ECU handles it well, you might not ever know what's going on. If you don't ever go WOT, it's probably not a big deal. But we all go WOT, right? :)

Why COBB over HONDATA?
@EdgeAutosport6 ай бұрын
We're really big Cobb fans in general and enjoy using their software. That's not to say there is anything wrong with Hondata. As a company, it's also a way that we can enter the market easier and with less friction. We really do believe it will become a great option for any Honda owners that it will apply to.
