My husband and I are going to Norway on this cruise ship in November, hence why we watched this. I feel I know you now, having shared your holiday experience. Terrific video, thanks

Hey Julie, thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it! You'll have a great time I'm sure, let us know how you get on. We're off to Hawaii with Princess cruises in a couple of weeks so make sure to subscribe if you want to see some new videos!
@JulieWallis19635 жыл бұрын
Andy & Kirstie I have subscribed. Hawaii sounds exciting, enjoy. (I’m sure you will love it) We went shopping for arctic clothing yesterday, whilst the shops still have winter clothes in. Was you warm on board ship? Just realised I could waste your entire Sunday asking you questions. I don’t know anyone in real life who has been to northern Norway in November. Thanks for such great content on all your videos.
@andyandkirstie5 жыл бұрын
@@JulieWallis1963 Great thanks! It was very cold pretty much the entire week we were there, however it was always warm on board all areas of the ship. As long as you keep wrapped up when you're outside you'll be fine! Primaloft or down jackets are the way forward. By all means ask away!

We love Norway and Aurora, our first ship back in 2010. We were on her in March, on our way up to see the Northern Lights, when she was turned around and retuned to Southampton after just 5 days, all of the at sea! Booked again next March, lets see if it happens.

Yeah, we'd definitely do the Norwegian Fjords again at this stage.

Andy - great camera work and great editing as usual. We've recently returned from the fjords on Britannia and must admit that I found it a tad frustrating - so much scenery but so many double height, salt encrusted glass panels obstructing the view. I've just acquired a GoPro and am interested in the settings for your sail out time-lapse sequences. Thanks for sharing your cruises with us, well thought out, well seen and set at the perfect pace.

james read Glad you liked it! For the latest video I was using video time-lapse mode on the Hero 5. Some of the time-lapse however was done on my DSLR on a tripod.

Hi we are going on the northern lights cruise our first ever cruise could you give a idear how many cases we should take ???
@andyandkirstie4 жыл бұрын
We only take one each, but they're fairly large. Depends how big you cases are and of course, whether or not you're flying, as extra cases mean extra cost.
@shaunellis67764 жыл бұрын

Hi Andy, can I ask what camera/cameras you were using for this, and how much SD Card memory you took with you. And finally the editing software.Many ThanksSean
@andyandkirstie7 жыл бұрын
Hi Sean, the video was made using a combination of my phone (Galaxy S7) attached to a DJI Osmo mobile gimbal, a Gopro hero 5 and my DSLR (Canon 80D). Time-lapses were on both the Gopro and the DSLR. I don't worry too much about the memory card size as I download everything each day to my laptop. Think the cards I use are 32gb.

Hey, thanks for the tour. Looking at taking a cruise on Aurora next year and found your video helpful. I've done a few ship highlight videos and yours reminds me a lot of mine. I subscribed to your page, if you wouldn't mind checking out mine and possibly doing the same. I have a playlist of all the cruise ship tours I've done, if you have time to check some of them out. Nice video.
