My mom had 4 boys and 2 girls treated the boys like night and day and made it obvious she wanted all boys. Us girls were neglected and not treated well and yes it affected us girls in such a negative way. We even got to bathe in their used brown bath water. It didn't stop there. When I found out, I was having a boy I cried all the way home from the doctors office. I said to myself, what am I gonna do with the boy? I just don’t even know what to do with the boy. And I have to tell you, my son and I are closer now than my daughter and I are. He’s 28 years old. He’s just an absolute love. He’s been a good boy his whole life and now he’s a wonderful husband. Unlike a lot of men in the US right now.

I can see the devotion of my brothers to my mom and my dad's devotion to his mom. That's a bond no one breaks, and that is something we women must understand, so when the turn comes to be "the wife", we won't act like we have to be the more important or the only one woman in our husband's life. There is no level of importance, there are two different loves and only one who knows the start of their life. So, when the turn comes, show your kids what you want them to learn from that. No wife should be jealous of the love and closeness of their husbands with their mom, if we women don't respect that and if we are not understanding of that love, that is what our baby boys will learn. Men start loving women they way they learn to love their moms.
