I love your perspective re: using someone else’s rig. I’d be skeeved, also. This also answers my own questions about whether or not I want to rent my rig via an Outdoorsy type service. I think, No. Great video. Thanks!

Thank you, William. It was actually better down in Montrose where we camped than near home or Alexandria. So overall not to bad. We are headed even further south this week so we should get some sunshine 😊

Nice van. What did you guys think of the class B? Was it one night only? Might be best if you rented it for a few days.
@AmpedtoGlamp3 жыл бұрын
HI @Goth Thicus. We rented on Friday afternoon and returned on Sunday. There were some things we really liked like the ability to Boondock for long periods of time and the ease of driving and parking anywhere. Plus there's more availability at state parks with such a small RV. But....I'm not ready to give up our Class A. There really wasn't enough space for the type of RVing we like to do. I felt like I would need another car with us to have the comforts for which I'm accustomed. And, I don't think I'll ever get used to a wet bath. What class of RV do you prefer?
@goththicus3 жыл бұрын
@@AmpedtoGlamp We own a class C 2015 (27K) Winnebago Cambria. It’s what they call a class B+ which means it’s built on a class C chassis but without the bunk overhead. But my preference would be the Winnebago View 24D.

Is there an additional mileage fee?
@AmpedtoGlamp3 ай бұрын
Depends on who you rent from since in some cases you're renting from owners who set their rates.
@mzyvettecrenshaw96702 жыл бұрын
By stocking the RV was there any hidden fee for using these items? Hotel rooms are notorious for this practice. They'll stock your room with sodas, chips, even alcohol making it look free, but they'll charge you in the end.

What was the purpose of Renting a class B van? Are you considering downgrading?
@AmpedtoGlamp3 жыл бұрын
There were a few reasons. The weather was really bad with high winds so it wasn't going to be possible to drive the Bounder safely. I was curious about what it would be like to try #vanlife so we figured what the heck. Let's try a van AND get some camping in. In the end I learned van life wasn't for me and the Bounder is my happy place 😊
@RamblinRoadies3 жыл бұрын
I'm confused. Why did you guys rent this?
@AmpedtoGlamp3 жыл бұрын
@Frank TheVet Sherri wanted to see if she would like a class b. So when we had to cancel our trip to PA due to high winds we decided to try it out. Our Bounder doesn’t do well in winds over 25 mph and that weekend winds were approaching 30. So we got to camp and test out a van. Hope that helps to explain it.
