I had similar thoughts: what?!?!?! Books from/about the 80s count as historical fiction?!?!

I would say that any book written not during that time period is historical fiction. As a history major though I will say some people end “history” at around 1990 while others end it never. So enjoy your new status as a teller of oral history

For the "Read a book outside your house" challenge: I go on a morning run, and I often listen to music during it. So instead, during the Reading Rush, I'll have an audiobook playing! I'm super excited, but I also have to pick one that's no more than 6 hours long haha or I won't finish it before the RR is over :P

I´M SO HAPPY Because actually i decided to read Persepolis for the third challenge cause i really love the movie but i have never read the graphic novel. But then i realized thanks to Ariel that it starts with "the" and it is in Asia (and because i live in south america it works for the other continent thing). BUT apart from that, it is also a memoir, which is a genre i have never read before. And if i read it "outside" basically i would be doing 5 of the 7 challenges with just one book. And knowing how busy i will be next month, it makes me so happy.

Another idea for the fifth prompt would be making a fort inside the house and reading a book in there with a good ole cup of tea. For extra fun, you could add some atmosphere by putting some plants with you or adding anything else that reminds you of where you'd want to be, like sea shells for the beach, etc.! I might take part in the Reading Rush this year if I can get over my terrible mood reading I've fallen into over the past month...

I'm reading the book at work, so where I work all I do is sit behind the counter because I'm looking after my aunts store because her husband has cancer and she didn't want to risk his health as well as not having money to buy the necessities so I volunteered. Ariel, The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly is such a good book, You're going to really enjoy the perspective. You may want to add The Wilder Girls to your pandemic book list, I finished it only a few weeks before lockdown and it stuck with me through lockdown even though it wasn't anywhere near that kind of Quarantine! Raeleen, I've also chosen The Virgin Suicides for my movie pick, I watched it sooo long ago I can barely remember it, so it'll feel somewhat new. I got stuck between that and The Witches of Eastwick but the writing was tiny and dense plus I'd pick up the virgin suicides first so it works for that challenge too. Love these episodes and listening to you both talk books
