Our last night in Ireland we stayed in this incredible private castle with no one else around.

I love the castles meant for giants and how there is extra floors to the castle buried beneath the earth from the last mud flood reset. Just amazing. Our smaller sized people definitely didn't build these with the tech we had with our horses and buggies 🤣🤣🤣

The problem of tower (fortified) houses is the several stories one must access by stairs. Thats only for young people. Elderly people will only habitate the lower floor story since with age it will be to difficult to go the stairs. An small 2 Person lift may be an idea. For these tower houses I see only a small cargo lift as an viable option in order people really use all stories.

I recently saw a mini castle tour. They saved it from ruins and renovated. It was cool and beautiful. But they sell it coz it's not ideal for having more kids.

@@chocoalmondfudge Yes I bet. It is kind of very small. If these would be bigger in circumference a lift would be an option and the rooms would be bigger as well. Kind of small every room.

It’s very nice, but the stairs historically are supposed to wind up in the other direction. Not a big detail today or for a place of lodging. How much did it cost to stay there per night?

The first thing I noticed is the stairs is going in the wrong direction.All stairs in castles and tower houses like this one stairs should be going clockwise going up and anti clockwise going down

The circular stairways in an Irish castle always ascend to the right not the left. A castle is a defensive structure not a condominium. The wedge shaped steps ascending to the right give the advantage of greater footing to the defense from the upper floors. These modern bathrooms undo any Norse architecture attempt by the builder.
