It looks like you had a lot of fun. I have gotten to spend time in Austin twice in my life.Once in the early 70s and once in the late 70s. Even back then at was an amazing and quirky place. On my second visit I wandered into a bar and got to see and hear a band called triple threat. Two of the members were Stevie Ray Vaughn and his brother. This was before they were famous. I was in awe of SRV and knew that he was going to be big. So it was very fitting that when I rediscovered him, it was on the PBS show Austin City Limits. It looks like there is even more cool stuff going on now. But it also looks like it's more expensive.

I live a few blocks from your opening "Austin" mural on S. 1st and have for over a decade. I do try to not take this city for granted, I'm glad you enjoyed it. However, there are an enourmous amount of changes and while I take them in stride many do miss what is gone as the true charm, never to return.
