OUR PHILIPPINES HOUSE UPDATE: TROPICAL PARADISE?

In this episode we show you how our garden has taken shape at our house in Ilocos Sur. You will see some of the original landscaping works and the results after seven months. This is not the end of our garden plans... still plenty more to do. Tell us what you think.
We are Kim and Kyle a FilOz couple. We currently live in Australia but have a "second home" in Ilocos Sur, The Philippines. We have a son named Makisig, Mak for short , we make these videos to document our life both in Australia and in the Philippines, primarily for our child but also to inform and entertain you.

Careful with the bougainvillea plants near pathways.....some or all? varieties have thorns....BIG THORNS.. Your yard/home looks amazing! Enjoy your beautiful home!

Wow!! Gardens are really nice to have in a home as it can be relaxing. When I need a break from work, going outside and enjoying the greenery even just for a few minutes refreshes me. I'd love to have lots of plants but my thumbs are not green. It doesn't help that I live in a zone where tropical plants are hard to grow plus windows facing east to catch morning sunlight is in my daughter's room and I'm sure she would not let me put my pots there. Still will keep on trying...

G'Day Dale, You could contact Dreamland Constructions they were the company that built the house, you'll find them on Facebook (or drop us an email and we will put you in contact.). As for the cost its hard to give you an accurate figure as this place was built a few years ago. I think you'd be looking at around AUD 200k (including the land) but thats a guess.

It's concrete block an smooth concrete finish. You will not be able to see wall after all grown in.

It's quite easy to get access to the fence and walls should we ever need to, just move the plants aside.

They sold the house so they must have thought it was not ideal for them. We all create our own fortune... as a family we have worked hard, acted with integrity and honesty and made some good decisions. I think the house is ideal for us :)
