I had exactly the same knee and shin pain. I lived on pain killers. After numerous doctor appintments I had an xray which showed no problem. A year later saw a physiotherapist who told me its arthritis. You dont need lots of wear on the joint for the pain to be bad.You may notice patterns in the weather which brings it on. Living in the van may mean you have a damp atmosphere which is not good for it. Im afraid its use it or loose it. The only effective pain relief is exercise. Doing knee exercise increases the fluid between the joints. (lots on you tube).Heads up on voltoral , supermarket brands often have the same and more pain relief at a fraction of the price . Its an age thing and a good chance other joints may play up. Some say oily fish can help. Good Luck XX

Theres also Nessesbar in Bulgaria that is less Benidorm than sunny beach but is a short bus ride away if you wanted to go in to sunny beach on an odd day.

Dan start taking turmeric and black pepper supplement tablets for joint pain , 1 a day , I suffered with arthritis in the knee symptoms you are describing, started to see a difference within 4 weeks of taking them , in all my joints, i really do recommend, love watching you and Mazzy great videos

Tip for you Dan, never edit video on the SD card or while the files are transferring from the card. If the Read/Write speed of the card is not quick enough it will crash the card. I always transfer the files first and then edit. I fathomed this out the painful way!

Arthritis mabe dan or ligament pain 🤔 have you ever knocked it . I use ibuprofen gel it's really good and cheap from home bargains it in a red box give it a go 😊x

Google flights is a great way to find cheap flights. 90% of my travel I book everything myself but I'm a research junkie. Lil tip, use your VPN and switch IP up and clear your cookies as travel sites will know when you return and not give you better prices. Bon voyage look forward to Cyprus vids. Cheers.

Dan I had the same problem with my knee years ago the physio said stand straight with knee back then clenched your thigh muscles to raise your knee cap, you will see it move. Hold the raise knee cap for 10 seconds release and repeat 5 times more do each day to strengthen knee cap hope this helps.❤

My hubby suffers with terrible knee problems a pharmacist recommended a TENS machine about £20/£25 on Amazon and it’s amazing! It doesn’t solve the issue but it does help with the pain when it’s bad! ❤

Hi Mazzy and Dan. Glad you managed to do a vlog despite loosing some footage. Think as far as cheap hols you have to watch out for things like paying for luggage, transfers etc, it can soon mount up and turn out expensive. Have tried on the beach ages ago and got a reasonable deal. thanks for all you do, take care xx

Bulgaria would be ok, bit cheaper than Spain. It is a bit like a small Benidorm. But also with easy reach by free bus or land train Nesebar. World heritage site lovely village, easy get a blog or two from there. Also Sveti Vlas has a lovely marina. Burgas is about 1 hours bus trip nice sea front,and quite a large town. People are lovely. As anywhere these days try to get you into restaurants but just say no.Pomorie more of a traditional sea side town.Boat trips as well from sunny beach.They don’t try to drag you in! Even a Lidl in sunny beach 😊

You may have pulled a muscle (or torn a ligament) in your knee from all the bike riding.Turmeric or daily dose of ibuprofen or naproxen (Alleve) will help with inflammation which is usually cause of pain in arthritis. Not sure if naproxen has the brand name Alleve in the UK though! I suffer with other also. Hit me at about the same age you are Dan. That was 4 years ago. Love your videos!! Can’t wait for Cypress!💕 P.S. I know your like Superman Dan but even Superman has his kryptonite!!!😆

Dan, go see a doctor about your knee, i had trouble with mine & thought all my family have had knee replacements so i thought the same for me 😢 but my knee problems comes from my back problems mixed with arthritis & fibromyalgia 😢 we can sll tell you its this or that but seeing a doctor before going away will help more, let us know if then joint tablets work 🙏🏼 cream never helped me 😢 stay strong 💪🏼🔥 awesome vlog guys ❤️🌹🥂

Maybe a city break would be good to do a cheap break where you can book a flight separately to your accommodation. Have you thought about Dubrovnik in Croatia absolutely loads of history and culture your vlogs would be amazing from there . Keep vlogging guys x

Hi guys, the last couple of years we have booked things separate and honestly it's much cheaper and you realise how little the operators do. Plus we just hop in a taxi from the airport. For example Tenerife £30 for a taxi. Transfers - wait for a bus drop everyone off and costs you hundreds.

Hi Dan, I stopped my knee pain by not wearing jogging bottoms. It's the elastic around the waist that puts pressure on my nerves or something. Give it a go... wear looser pants/trousers/leggings etc for a few days, this will give you some time to heal from the lasting affects of the pressure. It cost nothing apart from the joggers or any other elastic pants you have. I can wear joggers but not for long periods... Let me know if you feel difference. Love Mary also known as Mazzy xx

My knee hurt a couple of times so I used the cream what you have or a cream called Doc but I don’t know if you have got that in England. Dan, I use that Voltarol 2.32% Gel. It's the stronger one of the two, expensive at around £10 per tube, but seems to do the job. My knees become sore and swell, if I do too much. I had some X-rays and was told it's because I have Osteoarthritis in them. The doctor put me on Tramadol for the pain as well...🤔

Holiday pirates is good One big travel engine As for the knee Dan I am sure you know my situation with knee replacements and shoulder replacements it could be bone on bone cartlidges are drying out. Knee braces are ok for a couple of hours a day I was advised by my surgeon if left on it could do more damage because it restricts the muscles. Add lots of tumeric in your food that is good for joint pain .Maybe you should try and get xray and a scan so you can actually see whats going on Mazzy loved the way you just got hold of the mower and got on with it you go girl. Guys give Bulgaria a go. My auntie and uncle are there just now and loving it. Sunny Beach is just like 🇹🇷. Fake goods everywhere. Avoid Flower street as more expensive though. This place is great if you like sightseeing. Nessebar is awee old town and just lovely. I know you guys will love it! ❤

We are approx 15-20 mins from Gatwick airport costs us £2 each 😂 on the bus. We'd recommend Fuertaventura it's really worth a visit, there is also a salt museum 😅

Bulgaria is lively absolutely loads going on but it's lovely and not full of drunks and brilliant atmosphere as well. It's definitely more like turkey. We didn't get a hotel on the beach front either but it was only 5 minutes walk and it's quieter at night.

Make sure that your holiday insurance covers separate booking for flights, accommodation and transfers. Some insurance only covers complete packages.

I always book separate flight and hotel and make sure I get a shuttle bus to take me to the hotel and vice versa I use skyscanner and Expedia mostly but always double check on other hotel sites ❤

Sister in law uses voltarol and it helps a lot to relieve pain. I use a knee brace and play racquetball 5 times a week and it too helps. Best of luck !!!!

Hi Dan. I have the exact same issue as you with my knee. I went to the doctor's who sent me to the hospital and it turned out I had torn my cartilage in my knee. I had to have surgery to fix it. Yours might not be that but it might be worth getting checked if it continues.

Devil's claw will take about 5 to 7 days before you feel the benefit so stick with it. I've used it for a knee problem and also a bad back too

Hi Mazzy and Dan just wanted to talk about your holiday plans. I would definitely not recommend Bulgaria. I have been and didn't like it at all the food was terrible and we had friends that went last year to Sunny Beach and didn't like it at all and they said it wasn't as good as Benidorm. I don't mean to offend anyone as everyone is different and likes different things but personally Bulgaria is somewhere i didn't like and would never return to. As far as cheap deals go we find booking last minute is best. Our last trip to Mallorca was £664 for the two of us in a four star hotel half board with luggage flights and transfers but that was in May when it's cheaper. I have found Easy jet are the cheapest at the minute for last minute deals but always check trip advisor for the reviews. We have done what Mazzy was talking about before and booked cheap Ryanair flights to Tenerife then booked a separate cottage in the mountains but we hired a car from the airport and drove to our accommodation which was good but you dont get full protection on that kind of holiday. I would really recommend Mallorca as theres loads to see and do or Tenerife. Our favourite holiday also is Crete as it's where the best food is and stunning beaches but would recommend car hire for there and Tenerife. Also Jet 2 do a holiday calendar where you can check cost each day each month so thats worth a look. Good luck in finding a nice holiday. Also look into Hays Travel as they usually have some good deals and check out Italy Lake Garda or Sorrento as sometimes you see deals to there too. So excited to watch all your travels. Sorry about lost picnic footage ❤xx
