I dont know how many come in the beginning talking about how they will kill it cause they have a warriors heart and then dont make it 30 days. Loved the poems as well. Without even talking about prize money you are a rich man. I could tell how much you love your family and I applaud you for living life right. Prayers to you on all future endeavors.

I’m glad you mentioned that working home/farmsteads give a guy junk piles. I’ve been fighting to make my place pretty for years and I just keep building sheds with old fence posts, wire, lumber, and fencing laying outside of ‘em’ typically from a neighbors old dog kennels. I’ve come home to find lawnmowers, riders, and a snowblower in my shed from various buddies. One of them even worked right away… the deer here don’t even run from the dog anymore, so it’s been hard to keep the new orchard alive here too. It’s a good way to live though

Clay, There’s a place called Adventure that lives just on the horizon. It calls us forth over the next ridge and around the next bend. It’s where life’s good stories live, the ones that will be told around campfires, for a lifetime and more. But Adventure doesn’t give up her secrets easily, She keeps them hidden from all but the most willing. Willing to pay the asking price. Just in case you didn't get the transcript, S8 E10. You're amazing! Thank you for this moment of Truth and Beauty. Your words touched me. And gave me strength to carry on. I'm a 79 year old widow, living alone and lonely in Lone Tree CO. It came just after the shock of seeing Coulter -- who should win an award for the Grodiest of All the participants throughout the series so far. LOL God bless him! The series ALONE captured my spirit and senses. Just finished watching all 8 seasons. I'm grateful that at least I ain't got it that bad!!!

Very nice place you and your family have there Clay. A wildlife heaven. About a week ago i ran into a 10 minute video that showed the last few minutes of your season 8 victory on "Alone." The last 2 days i have been binge watching the whole series. I am on day 49 and down to 4 survivors. Very hard living in the wild there. You getting that deer early on was a big win for you as you know. The last i watched you were getting frustrated with the gill net. I will watch the last episodes as time allows. The Lord has blessed you with a very high skill set on many area's in life. Of course your efforts to learn as brought the to fruition. Keep on keeping on.

Hi clay. I've just started on your videos in the last few weeks and enjoy them a lot. I watched your earlier homestead tour and this one. I am based in Australia and from here I would say: - make sure your boys can grow gardens and preserve and cook as well as they can hunt and build - secure as much water as you legally can. You're sure to be restricted on what you can take out of the creek, so put gutters on your house, underground tanks, rainwater barrels, toilets using rainwater, dig some dams, plant mulch crops, explore options to retain water on your crops, fields. - windbreaks, animal shelters, woods you might want to harvest in the future, any wild plants that grow in idaho that will be beneficial. Even things like fish ponds, crabs, and yabbies ( that's what we call them in Australia. They are fresh water crustaceans/ shell fish. )

Nice little slice of heaven right there! Love the truck build btw. My dream truck is a ‘91 1st gen Cummins. All mechanically controlled and pretty much bulletproof! My shops teacher back in college had one and he made his own biodiesel distillery. He got the used oil from all the restaurants for free and processed it himself. Ran full biodiesel in the Summer months and blended in the Spring & Fall. Only had to go to the pumps in the Winter cause it’s too darn cold up here in Canada!
