Well that was a information packed video. Nice to see you are excited, and I like your plan. I am looking forward to the rest of this series, as I know as always I will learn many things. Best of all seeing where you are headed we can't wait to see you. Best of luck always .

Really interesting video, thank you! My instinct is you guys will enjoy this season more by a factor of ten compared last year. Knowing now, what you didn’t know then will make such a difference! This is coming from someone who spent 10 years as a full time solo sailer up here in the great northwest. Sailing of course comes with a life long learning curve, but the jump from year one to year two is usually pretty awesome. I’m guessing I’m preaching to the choir on that point however! All the best from Anacortes…

If you need an easy and cheap place to store the boat in south Florida check out the mooring field in Dinner Key Marina. We lived there for 5 months over the winter. It’s convenient but is rough when there’s any easterly winds. But if you’re not going to be on the boat, that won’t matter.

Tip 1) have some spare parts on the boat. 1) belts, water pump, ext. 2) extra fresh pump. 3) extra bilge pump. Now have you looked into Starlink? It works great and it may be your answer on working from anywhere in the world 🌎. Ooo! And have a back up radio 📻. Handheld should be fine. You can use it when on the dinghy too. Ok when i think of more i will put it on here. Aloha from the Big Island 🏝 of Hawaii 🏝

You know the best thing about sailing.....is sailing! It isn`t paying some one else to sail for you , so BZ for going with option three! And on the downside, every time you pronounced Beaufort as Bewfort was like a million nails scratching on a blackboard to my English ears :( IT`S BOW FORT FFS! Beau, rhymes with toe. As in Beau Brummell. I`m going to lie down now, with a large rum till I feel better. Guys, this is your Bahamas version 2.0 . You`ll kick the arse out of it as "old hands", and don`t be shy with the Pusser`s Painkillers. Fair winds to you both from HM Swan River Colony and let`s go Brandon. xx

I’m currently sailing (well, motoring) down to Ft Pierce right now, so I’m catching up on videos and this is one is timely. Finding dock space anywhere along the east coast is difficult, and for as many sailing lifestyle channels we’ve watch, I don’t think it’s something I’ve seen talked about. It’s probably our #1 stressor in this, our first season with a boat: we have to leave place ‘A’ but there is no dock space or good anchorages at place ‘B’. When you’re too tall for the ICW, anchor and marina options are limited. How did you find your spot in Florida? A combination of patience and luck?

You are missing out. Stop on Andros Island on the way down maybe Mangrove Cay. It has the third-largest barrier reef in the world and is awesome for snorkeling and Scuba. Great local people and just a beautiful place many cruisers skip for some reason. The southern night is a great anchorage

The North Atlantic in December is to be respected, especially during the winter solstice. Could Option Four allow you to sail the boat to the Bahamas now, then fly back, knowing the Bahamas grants boats a one-year permit, and fly-back to the boat in December-January?

Me and a couple of experienced sailing buddies would probably take your boat to Florida for you for a small sum...not a huge one. You make all the connections, buy the food, etc. We just get the boat there. Oh, yes, you rent the car in Jacksonville Florida for us to get to you and another at your Florida destination for us to get back to Jacksonville. We are retired gents and ladies with tons of sailing experience. Me, a USCG M.100.T (power and sail) license and the other guy did mission trips for years from the USA to Greece and all over the Med. It's a nice alternative to #3. 😊

Can’t you leave your dogs with your parents while moving the boat to south Florida and then you can fly back
