For me it has to be podium to qualify for BGS. He won the race 5 races ago, finished 5th 3 races ago so just scoring points is definitely not BGS. For Ferrari to class as flop for me means 0 points combined for the team. Right now I class Ferrari as the 4th best team so outside the points with both cars is a flop.

It should be insanely hot though, and Piastri is not really good at preserving his tires, so I think Norris will have the edge on him. Piastri will do better at cool tracks, and tracks with very minimal tire wear such as Monza.

Why you would do that after just picking up Bearman is unbelievable. I’m afraid you have now sealed your fate. In regards to pole position, only Verstappen & Russell have been able to get pole position more than once this year. So it’ll be interesting to see what happens. As for the podium, it could be any trio of Max, the McLarens and/or the Mercs.

Max was still close to putting it on P2, P3 in q3 in Monaco, but of course he was pushed just over the limit to hit that wall in the final run, so we never saw it. After of course he was stuck where he was. I'm not predicting a sure win, but Max will finish on the podium I'd say.

@@deeznoots6241McLaren does not have an illegal duct. The FIA has already looked into that and passed their ducts as legal. I think Red Bull has also been struggling in some of the hotter races recently, not on tire wear, but on general car cooling. And to be honest, I got no idea how Merc will do, but I don’t think that car is exactly the easiest on the tires. Then again, Hamilton is ridicilously good at tire management, so there is that.

Hot weather = Merc performs bad. They themselves have admitted they prefer the cooler weather. I have a feeling Norris will do well, but Piastri hasn't gotten a handle on tyre management properly so I think he will miss podium if it's hot.

In all the old 'online racing team management' games I used to play - Hungary was always one that had room for the weird and wonderful strategies, which meant that for every cock-up or mishap, there was a fall back strategy that didn't ruin the race as well - so there was always interesting racing as the various methods culminated towards the final laps.

I'm not even a Leclerc fan, and I hope he turns it around. It's like Carlos has said "I make all my own calls, my engineer and mechanics can stay, but the rest of you can bounce" and so they focus all their attention on Leclerc, and then make dumb mistakes as a result. The cars are great, but one tiny thing goes wrong, and the crew panics and make mistake after mistake after mistake until Charles is out of the points.

@@5150TJT I don’t think Merc is the team with the most cooling problems tbh.. They did run a bit hotter back when they had the zero-pods. But rn, I think the Ferrari engine is the one that is running the hottest, as we can sually see teams running the Ferrari PU have more aggressive cooling. RB has not been the easiest on the engine this season either. Max only has one PU left before he has to take a penalty. And the heat won’t make things better for them either. In reality, I think every single team will struggle with cooling this weekend, some probably worse than others, but we don’t know who will struggle the most as of yet. Decent chance we see a PU or two fail during the race and/or quali!
