Oooh we love the Magic Treehouse books too! I especially love then Mary Pope Osborne reads them on audio because her voice is just so Magic Treehouse lol. Even my bigger kids still love them and read the graphic novels when they come in the mail. Did you know there is a homeschool curriculum based on the Magic Treehouse books and also one for the Merlin Missions? Waldock Way has Passport to Adventure and we just love it! It has links, game ideas, additional books, a coloring sheet and a writing prompt. We are doing it for a second time with a second age set of kids and it is just so much fun!

Hello fellow Christian, Minnesota Mama! Thank you for sharing! You have some fresh ideas I haven't come across before, and I'm excited to explore what you have suggested. I am considering doing a little homeschool preschool for the first time with my 3 year-old, and was wondering how your school day looks. How much time do you set aside for 3/4 year olds? Do you plan to go through all the subjects daily, or will you switch it up throughout the week? I'm new to your channel, and have subscribed to stick around 😄

Hello!! It's so fun to hear you're in MN, too! Thank you for following along and for taking the time to comment! I'm glad you found some fresh ideas to try! I definitely keep it short and sweet when my kids first start doing school with me! Every day, I like to hit the subjects of Bible, math, reading/language arts, and some sorts of picture books focused on history or science topics! But when they're at such a young age, you can spend just a few minutes on each subject - or play it by ear and let a subject go longer if they're really loving it that day! During the week, I also add in topics like health or puzzles/logic-related stuff, nursery rhymes, music... but those aren't scheduled to do every single day. I don't have a set length of time for school, but at this stage (having an almost 4-year-old doing his second year of preschool, and having a kindergartener), we probably do two hours of dedicated school time every morning. Sometimes longer! Generally speaking, I shoot for starting school at 9 am but the benefits of homeschooling means that's flexible if need be! Thanks for subscribing! Thank you! @@jenniferniemela3686 And I didn't really mention this exactly, but so much of school in those earlier years can involve reading, reading, and more reading! You can read nursery rhymes, books about science and history topics, but also any awesome preschool books like many of those on Sonlight's Preschool (age 3-4) curriculum book list!
