Co sądzisz o plagiatach, prawach autorskich, inspirowaniu się piosenkami i tak dalej?
@wadysawkostrzewski8557Ай бұрын
getting inspired is one thing but coping and not mentioning it is stealing - but if getting approval for coping to translate then no issue with this.

It would be a cruel world, if arists would be allowed to sign and play only song they created. I also try to understand people who put their body and soul to create a masterpiece and then some other people use that song to make money on their own. That might be frustrating, but then again... if something is a masterpiece, no copy will be more popular... and some covers are just better/more modern/ more interesting to a modern viewer... sometimes cover gives a song another life

A lot of the songs on the list - the ones from 80s and earlier were written and recorded in a very different world divided into US and soviet aligned blocs. There was no enforceable copyrights, no open market for music, and no global audience to talk about. Reach of American music was limited in Poland, and vice versa, and so covers, homages and references are the only way audiences in Poland could hear some of this songs.

Most of them as just covers and it was commonly known in Poland. In my opinion Polish cover of Aint no sunshine is the best cover of this song in the world!

Some of these songs are official covers, not copies. One of them, Noc Komety by Budka Suflera, was the part of contract (so to speak - with government) for using a recording studio of Polish Radio in Poznań. A condition of the contract was to create a cover of a selected foreign song to be part of the New Year's Eve night block, prepared by this studio.

For me even inspiration is hard to find
@MrScrwtpАй бұрын
Polish Wikipedia states that the song was inspired by When a Man Loves a Woman (Percy Sledge) and It's a Man's Man's Man's World (James Brown). I get it that Niemen is much beloved, but the inspiration is obvious, and that’s not a bad thing.

There are 12 basic notes, the number of chords is finite, and there are also scales of chords that are generally the same. They are not always copies. Here are 32 songs on exactly the same chords: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJexoX9opZWro5o&ab_channel=CeZik Cool Polish video by Cezik.

2:18 Brathanki - Czerwone Korale was accused of plagiarism back in 2000. Their response was that they were under the impression that the Hungarian song is a traditional folk tune rather than a contemporary composition, and they heard it on a poorly annotated recording. They ended up paying the original author for the rights later on, and are crediting him for the music now. They’ve also collaborated later on further projects.

Hey guys i think the word we are lookin for here is not "copy" but "cover". But what do i know i'm just a random person on the internet :)
@leno_o17Ай бұрын
Yeah, so as you said- there's a fine line between a "copy" and...other things. Some of those are just covers, they literally use the same titles, just translated, some use the melodic line from other songs, some are just inspired and there's actually not even that much similarities

Hello Please react to Jann's songs "Need a break" and "Arachnophobia". He is a very talented artist(from Poland)with a unique voice and great talent😊
@akemiflameborgАй бұрын
Some of these songs are covers and some are probably sampled, it's not the same as copying. Western singers do it a lot too, even currently. And in some cases it might just be the scale or chord progression that was used in two different songs (these things can't be copyrighted).
@sytrostormlord3275Ай бұрын
Some of these songs just took the music from their original counterpart, others took lyrics, but translated/changed them a bit and/or made their own music... It's not strict copying, more like you've said: songs inspired by other songs, covers of songs or in most simple cases: translating the lyrics ( i'd assume to make a great song in foreign language known to wider audience in Poland)

You didn't notice, that some of polish songs was recorded before the "original", which you listen later. So, some polish are originals, but covers come from abroad.
