They've rebranded multiple times cause their agency sucks at promoting. They are usually known as Rania. They had a different black member last time. They alienated tf out of her. Even excluded her from the choreography. And after fans went off they added her just to replace her shortly after promotions started. They clearly listened with this rebranding. I'm actually satisfied with this comeback. Hopefully their agency stay consistent this time. Cause they often stop promoting and members leave or they lose fans when they come back. Hoping for the success of Black Swab because Rania was at the top for a minute in the past.

I'd say ppl were supporting , however the company treated her like stageprop & gave the girl bad comebacks/music videos & choreos....If they'd gotten more famous there'd prolly be some haters...but Alexa brought in most fans ... and yes actually blackswan is a rebrand of a girl group called rania hence “goodbye rania” and they actually had debuted the first biracial (black/white) kpop idol alex reid some years ago, but she eventually left because the company is shitty and treated her horribly, we can only hope things have changed and that fatou is treated as she should be.

Yes , but after knowing how the company treated the past members , I'm at loss in the matter of supporting this group,seeing they still use foreigners (that have no k-pop training or even know the language ) show that they're still shady, prolly still treat the group bad bts ,and their contracts are prolly awful ,I wonder how much they're earning in % from the profit , after they've broken even with the cost of whole production & ofc training for the girls that has training-debts. Hopefully Fatou & the Leia have good contracts & that they're not being exploited bc they don't know the earnings & are young .... What I find amazing is that Youngheun, (Goyoung) the leader of this group, is a former member of Stellar, a girl group that got treated horribly by their company. You can look them up, but seeing how she is now, glowing in a diverse talented group is so wonderful. I sincerely hope this company will treat her better, and that her and her group members succeed 💜✨

There was actually another group that had a black girl. The group was called BP Rania and they were run by the same company as black swan. Alex was the black girl but she was treated poorly so she left and the group disbanded a few years later. The company got rubbed too apparently

Fatou isn't the first black kpop idol, she's the second. RaNia (now known as Blackswan) has had a rocky career since its debut in 2011. Beginning as an eight-member group (previously), they experienced various line-up changes. The biggest change came in 2015 when African-American rapper "Alex Reid" was announced as a member, establishing herself as the first-ever black K-pop idol. Most Kpop groups are made of korean, thai, chinese, american, brazillian, mixed asian backgrounds, and etc.

I'm unsure about it. It's from the same company that managed BP Rania, who had black member Alex Reid. Alex Reid was never included in the full choreographies and her outfits were never as nice as the other members of her group. Their debut album is called 'goodbye rania' which gives me hope that maybe they're wanting to treat their non-Korean members a little more nicely this time.

Actually Bp rania was the first to have a black girl in there kpop group, her name was Alex but she wasn’t in the mvs that much and only was on stage when her part was there, one of the girl in this group I think actually was in the group bp Raina. I think you should check out the rest of their album bc it’s great AND ALSO Fatou has a freestyle to the beat of Dior by pop smoke so y’all should go listen to that, she has some rlly good raps on the rest of the album.
