This track shouldn’t be on the calendar. It’s top 3 worst tracks. It’s just not meant for f1 racing. There are zero hard braking zones where you can go for a dive and pretty much zero opportunity to make a pass. Even the one passing opportunity into turn one isn’t really that good because of how short the drs zone is. It’s just set up for the race to be a parade.

There's been the question of whether Norris is 'too nice' to win an F1 title ever since it became obvious that he's a genuinely nice person both on and off the track. When he's up against the 'winning is all that matters' philosophy of Max (via Jos) lots of people will assume he's going to ultimately not have the ruthlessness they think you need to win the title. I'm glad Lando is not falling into that trap and is sticking to his true nature as a tough but fair and generous competitor. I think he's good enough to win without being an asshole.

@@nahdiarodgersIf we go about it more psychologically, some may see Norris as a bit of a spoiled rich brat and some of his comments in interviews certainly don't help either. This is the only explanation I can think of really, also Piastri seems to be judged very leniently for some reason in comparison. Whereas if you just look at it kinda unbiased, Norris is still the better driver, but for sure Piastri has closed down the gap this year compared to 2023 so fair play for that.

People calling it weak are just silly, there was so much risk involved that it was clearly a very strong-minded action. Qatar is the worst track on the calendar, atleast Monaco is interesting and a novelty, Qatar has uninspired corners, boring track design that encourages DRS trains, a singular overtaking zone and terrible weather forcing it to take up high preasure spots on the shedule. Its clear that it's a Moto GP track first and everything else second. It doesn't belong on the F1 calendar.

I think I’m in the minority here but I think Lando’s move was more of a power statement. He controlled the race with Oscar the entire time and gifted him the win to show how dominant he was. I think we will see lots of fireworks next year between these two. Oscar was not amused.

You have to think of the sprint as an FP3. When you think of it like this, it’s about 10 per cent more exciting. However, it ruins the GP because it gives you a preview of what’s about to happen.

Maybe I'm wrong but nobody seemed to pay any attention to Perez during the race. Sky commented something about RBR using the race as a test and then forgot about it. But Checo eventually lost time against Zhou. And I'm thinking maybe Jos was right in saying they have to give him a car that suits him and he'll be right back on top. Maybe RBR is really struggling to put together a decent car. Max can always make sómething out of it, Checo is not at that level. But he's not this hopeless, I'm sure. I'm starting to believe it's RBR that have dropped the ball, it was a crystal one and it broke. They're clueless.

Hamilton a clear driver? Hell no. In 2023 he damaged Oscar Piastri everytime he went passed. There is of course the totally on-purpose Verstappen shunt in Silverstone '21. Then last year he crashed at the start by ramming into Russell. And so on, and so forth. Like Alonso said: the guy can only drive when he's number one.
