Hi my sweet Emmy. Thanks GOD🙏, that you are feeling better! Your family is so nice ❤ and I enjoyed their reaction to the snicker salad😊. Here is another recipe for a "special" dessert: take a bowl and put in layers of crumbled white meringue cookies, whipped cream and frozen (!) raspberries (no extra sugar!) . Close with a layer of raspberries. I call this dessert "Raspberrie or angels dream". Put the bowl two hours in the fridge and than serve it to your guests. They will be surprise about the mix of crunchy meringue and the raspberrie cream. I wish your nephew and his beautiful wife all the best. I absolutely adore you two. My parents grew up during the Depression, and frugal living was part of our lives. My mother taught me so many valuable lessons as I was growing up. While there were a few things that I thought were a bit over the top, her reasoning was sound. She would save the cotton from the top of aspirin bottles; I offered to buy her a bag of cotton puffs (for the horrific price of 99 cents), but she wouldn’t have it. Scratch paper was always the backs of discarded envelopes, then the backs of my weekly work schedule. Everything in the house was purchased with a view to taking good care of it and keeping it for a long time. Mother also sewed, and made most of my clothes growing up. And we tithed at church every week. I realized later just how tight money must have been, but my parents always did a fabulous job at managing finances. I haven’t always been as frugal in my own life, and it kills me to look back and think of how much money I’ve wasted over the years. Anyway, I’m so glad you put out so many videos, because I love watching them and I never want them to end. Thanks so much for all you do. Gwen in St Louis

My hubby was very nervous about getting married because we couldn't afford it. We did and budgeted, saved, paid cash and passed up a lot of unnecessary things, So far it has worked 59 years. Excrpt for interest for money borrowed for a home, never paid interest. Loved that there are young couples so careful of their money. They will be like auntie and uncle! They are delightful.

Sorry to hear about your shoulder. My shoulder went bad and I had to have pt and I said no just give me the exercises to do at home. No way could I afford to go weekly. Luckily they agreed. It took 2 years of exercises to gain use of my shoulder. Your nephew and his wife are so cute. Gods blessing on their marriage. I enjoyed making butter with with my preschool class. Hard work but they enjoyed making it. Telling their parents I got many calls on how to do it. Fun Thanksgiving project to do with them for their own family.

A few things we did after we got married were combining our bank accounts and paid off his credit card to raise his credit score. We ended up buying a house 6 months after we got married. Not sure how credit scores work where they live but here it's SO important to have a good credit score for future borrowing (e.g. mortgage). Credit cards can be your best friend - for example, popping your grocery bill on your credit card (same as you would debit) and then transferring the money to pay it off. You seem far to smart to misuse a credit card...so encourage you to look at how you can use them as a tool to help your credit score in the long run.

Hi Emmy I found your channel a few weeks ago and I have to tell you I LOVE IT! You seem so happy and content. I have started the process of getting my retirement (I will be turning 62) this month and my husband is doing pretty much the same. Some of the things you touch on in your videos , I’ve heard before but now I watch to freshen up on those ideas. I went to Hobby Lobby today to get a planner (to keep everything organized) and oh my goodness the things I wanted to buy but you were in my head saying to stay away from the impulse buys lol. Don't Instagram. I must have missed your update here though. I am glad you doing better. Paint is always a good idea! They are a cute couple with very good heads on their shoulders. Unfortunately I will have to use cool whip because I can't have dairy. I haven't had this salad in forever.
