In March 2022 our contemporary reimagining of A Midsummer Night's Dream played to a sold out audience of over 1000 throughout production week.
This time lapse of our stage construction condenses 80 hours into 4 minutes, showcasing the work of our astonishing in house student tech team, lead by our Production Manager Mr Smith.
Some stats about our build:
Our stage is the biggest we've built in 14 years of school productions, measuring a colossal 160 square meters.
We rigged a total of 68 lighting fixtures, including static wash, 9 LED moving heads, 6 pixel bars, a 64 square meter starcloth and 100 meters of festoons.
Our 120 minute show had 370 lighting cues.
21 microphones captured our cast, controlled from a 32 channel digital sound desk.
We used over 800 meters of cable to power and control our shows lighting, sound, projections and pyrotechnics.
The total construction time was 80 hours over a period of 6 days, the set was dismantled and stored, ready for 2023, in just under 4 hours.
