Thanks! I'm looking forward to getting back down into the bilge and doing a super detailed cleaning, including removing the four batteries to get behind and under them. My plan is to (humbly) make her the finest example of that model Sea Ray when I'm done. Of course, the cameras will be capturing as much as I can. . . Don't forget the upcoming stripes replacement 👍

Good video. This is "must do" as a boater. It's not always the best time boating trying to determine what could go wrong inspecting and checking things in the engine room. But, the way I view it, upon return from a great problem free cruise, it's all worth it. Take care!!

A simple walkthrough while checking the fluid levels is something I enjoy doing - even on our holidays. Always gives me lots of confidence knowing what's what in the engine room. That said, all the checks in the world didn't help me foresee a shift cable snapping just a week after this was filmed 😳 Of course, that happened at the most convenient time, right when I was pulling away from a dock to reposition the boat. No worries, as I was able to get new cables and do the exchange while still at our favorite spot in Youngs Point 😉

Yes, I'll be filming and sharing that when the time comes. And, if you look on KZbin, there's a few guys who've done the work with their boats in the water, so I don't think it's impossible - but I'd be a lot more comfortable doing it while Boogaboo is still on land 😉

Yeah, looks like they moved your genny toward the bow when they reinstalled. You can actually get to your oil filter. :)

After owning our last 330 Sundancer (same dimensions as your 340) for five seasons, I can tell you that ain't nobody gonna fit between your engines 😜

This boat doesn’t have fresh water cooled engines like your last one. Are you going to eventually add it?

You are correct. Our previous two boats had the identical engines, but with the freshwater cooling option. Those two started their lives in/close to saltwater cruising areas, so I'm sure they were equipped to help avoid issues with their engines. Our current Sundancer started its life in Michigan and has been in freshwater ever since, so the FWC option isn't necessary. It would be nice to have, but not critical, so I don't plan on installing it.

@@BoatingWithBoogaboo not just for corrosion resistance but fresh water cooled systems can run a little warmer and are more efficient. Also, coolant is easier on the head gaskets and water pump. Also, I’m Glad you are posting again. You are Very helpful and informative.

Friend of mines has osmosis small bubble spots under the haul of his start craft Cuddy cabin.

Many years ago, we had an older Sea Ray that developed lots of osmosis blisters. I tried fixing them by grinding and applying epoxy, with limited success. When we sold that boat, I made a point of putting in the top line of my ad that the boat had osmosis before anyone even considered looking at it. The folks who bought it had it immediately relocated to a facility that could repair it professionally. Don't know what the outcome was? I'd suggest that your friend have it looked at by a qualified repair shop/marina to get a price for the repairs. I can tell you that it isn't going to be cheap!!
