Separate buildings are not a bad thing. The annual local craft show here uses both the high school and middle school buildings, which are 1/4 mile apart from each other. Us craft show shoppers will go to everything and make a full day of it, visiting local boutiques and lunch out with the girls as well. So sorry you are all under the weather! Hugs! Glad this show went well too.

Keep up with the craft videos, too! We LOVE them! If you change your Christmas decoration theme (always keep a beach theme section available), they are ADORABLE! Fix you a "Hot Toddy" and go lay down for the afternoon. It will help make you right as rain.

IDEA:....Make a straight board with 4-5 hooks so people can mix and match themes to switch out all year.

Looks like a nice show.! I would think that providing some sort of refreshment at your booth such as - popcorn balls, wrapped homemade fudge, hot drinks, etc. would bring more business your way. Have you ever added food in your mix of wares? Hope & pray that you all recover quickly from the nasty bug that zapped you!

Have you considered getting a laser cutter and/or a CNC router? Your boys are at an age now where they would probably love experimenting with one to make small projects like ornaments and such. X-tool should sponsor you! You would be a perfect channel for them, because you could use their cutter for projects on the homestead, as well as for craft projects, and could show their versatility. (Really hoping someone from there sees this, lol.)

we have been asked before to sponsor with x tool however we like to make things by hand made with love and we really like to spend the time together scrolling the shapes out :) Also I think its best to show how others can make these themselves and an x tool is a costly tool for someone to buy

@@ElysiaEnglish oh, I wasn't thinking of it as a way to replace the handmade stuff. More of a way to complement the handmade work. For example, you could do little mini engraved plaques to go on some of the ornaments with the year on them, or you could cut out mini metal horseshoes to create cute additions to your projects that represent the homestead. I definitely agree that it is important to maintain the handmade quality and experience, but was just thinking about how a laser cutter might be a fun way to add another dimension to your projects.

I remember the weekends my sister we would sell at craft shows, some great, some we found out never posted that the show was happening and would have hardly any traffic, and no sales makes for a long day for all sellers.
