Siamese cats are definitely one of the smartest cats. Notice how it climbed the towel stand 'looking' for a way in, probably thinking there was an opening at the top. It figured that out. It was frantic about trying to find a way in to either 'save' or 'join' it's human friend, haha.

...and then you realize that the genius had 10 years to learn that there was, in fact, no opening, no matter what they try, and are forced to deduct double digit intelligence points lol. I'm sure there is good reasoning why the cats are talking; body & verbal. My Scotty dog saved my life & limb more than once. He also with his short legs balanced upon fallen tree branches to get to a stranger, a boy that was straddled upon a fallen tree. I told the boy to listen to the dog. The boy moved off the tree resting some feet above a swift moving river. Since there are many stories, I will tell one more. I was sleeping. The Scotty dog barked until I woke, on the carpet was a smoldering cigarette, her eyes sharply moved down to the cig & back up at me. She repeated this until I picked the cig up.

More likely the younger one is concerned why the older one is so worried. I have an Havana Brown who was squawking at the door to the downstairs toilet the other week, while I was in there. @cubomania3 I don't think they are upset, just wondering where you are. They'd be more upset locked in another room. At least they can smell you, even if you are in the shower. I was having a shave the other day. I looked down and there he was on the side of the sink looking up at me. I had to put a towel on the toilet seat so that he could watch me. As I type this he is asleep on my shoulders. He's rather warm. These cats are something else! Ha ha!

Oh, my Maxa is the same! I found him on the street, when he was 6 days old, and around 2 and a 1/2 weeks old he could walk enough to discover me under the shower. And that little baby has screamed, careful, careful! I'm coming to save you! And slipped on the wet tiles and tried to run back, and again to help me, but the water has rolled him to the sinker. So I had to close the water, pick him up, dry him, comfort him and place him into the tooth glass, he was that small. Then I could finish showering with him watching me. And really, every time I showered, already at a closed door, he stood on the other side of the door and meowed every two secs to check on me, least I have escaped on the sinker. And in the next rent we had a bathtub and he sat on it's corner carefully watching me and supervising, if I've done a proper job with the towel, and afterwards he always jumps on my shoulder and sniffs and pulls at my hair to tidy it up. My jetblack Maxa, was 14 last week.

i love siamese cats and have had the honor of their company since the seventies...they are by far the most intelligent cat out there... mine are more dog like in their mannerisms than any other breed... they become very attached to their humans... these fellas are upset because mom is out of reach and the siamese wants you where it can get at you at any time... none of this separation by a shower door let alone water...my siamese come to their name and a whistle..they also retrieve anything i throw , balls , sticks anything...they are very protective and love to talk to me and i of course talk back to them..i love this video and any one who has ever been fortunate to live with a siamese will understand that they love you as much as you love them :-).

rose9635 You have the best and most righteous and sensible comments so far amongst most of the many nonsense and hateful ones that preceded yours. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I believe those negative comments come from people who are not TRUE animal lovers. The very unique relationship that develops between an animal and its owner can only be understood if one ever owned or owns an animal him/herself and treats it like a family member, not just give it a job such as being 'guards,' etc. Subject-related comments actually started from @Jerald Brewer & downwards. My comment to the lady who posted the video is I feel very sorry for her cats for being so obviously upset while she's in the shower. Those meowings certainly prove that. Perhaps closing the bathroom door would help some. At least, even if those precious Siamese cats have the anxiety separation from her being gone momentarily, they would not be in such close proximity to her, panicking frantically all those minutes she's in the shower. All that stress may eventually cause these poor babies serious health problems ~ such as heart disease, etc. Sorry I may have gotten carried away but poor babies. They should not have to suffer like that. Did not appreciate how the video was captioned either on FB --- says, "funny" video. I did not find it funny. My heart goes out to the Siamese cats.

Why would that make you a masochist? You're not the only one who has come back here again and again to hear their meows, to see the face of that one, or whatever. Siamese cats are the most loyal and affectionate of the cat breeds. It is one breed however that cannot stand to be ignored. They expect you to give them attention all the time. It is not a good pet if you work all the time and you purchase one. They prefer a companion to play with throughout the day if you work long hours. If you work from home the it is an ideal pet however be prepared to have a pet rest in your lap while you work. Also at night they love to sleep with you whether on top of you or next to you.

True. I used to have a Siamese mix, and she was the most attached to me of all the cats I've had. She could literally spend hours on my lap or cuddling next to me, and would greet me enthusiastically at morning when I woke up and every time I returned from work as if I'd been gone for weeks instead of hours, even if she had a full bowl of food. Her "Yay! You're awake! I missed you while you were sleeping!" song and dance was the cutest thing ever. She died last year at age twelve from complications of diabetes, and I miss her so much.

People talking crap about siamese obviously never owned one as they truly don't get it.. Siamese cats are one of the top 10 most intelligent cat breeds and lots of people will debate they actually are the most intelligent breed, Yes, they are vocal, but as an ex-owner of a shelter for all kind of cats for over 20 years it is my understanding that's only because they perceive more the human atmosphere than the other cats do. Really, if you want a puppet you can manipulate these are not for you, go for a persian instead or a stuffed toy because these boys probably have more of a character than you ever will.
