I don't know a single person that doesn't have some form of kettle. Either an electric one or a stove top one. We also do butter our bread, just not when making a sandwich. We use condiments like mayo or mustard instead. And only mass produced, low quality bread has sugar in it. Fresh bread from bakeries or homemade will not have it in it.

Kettles take roughly twice as long to boil when used in the US because their homes electricity runs around 120 volts, compared to 220-240 volts in the UK. Probably part of the reason they never really caught on Stateside. Secondly, Simon's "2 cups of tea with 2 sugars is as bad as 6 cans of coke" is a massive stretch if you're strictly talking sugar intake. 4 teaspoons of sugar works out at 16.7 grams (give or take a little sure, let's say 16-18 grams roughly). A *single* 330ml can of coke has 35 grams of sugar, which is essentially double the amount of the 2 cuppas. 6 Cans of coke would be 210 grams of sugar, which would be a shitload of tea (25 cups, with 2 sugars to be precise) 😂👍
@emilycorveas3392 Жыл бұрын
i think most people in the US don't own kettles because we just dont drink tea as much as in the UK and for coffee, most people just have a coffee maker. as for the buttered toast, im sure some people dont do that but I personally butter my toast every day. the US is just so big that im sure people do things a bunch of different ways

We know what a “kettle” is. It’s a “tea pot”. Also, bread here is very weird… along with the rest of our food… compared to the rest of the world. We have a lot of unneeded ingredients that are slowly killing us (ex: “sugar”). But as far as butter on bread, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have mayonnaise or butter or some sort of condiment to substitute butter on a sandwich. Unless we’re lazy and in a rush because our culture is so go go go.

Personally, I don't watch the sidemen sundays straight away. I look at the concept of the vid and the length. Next day or when I'm bored or something, if it's on the shorter side, like 30-50 mins, I'll watch it. If it's long (1hr+), I'll have to find time to watch it. By then, I'll probably come across the clips on shorts which basically decide how much I want to watch the video, like who the guests and teams are. I'll eventually watch it anyway, the time frame depends.
