What a stunning garden you have there. So many beautiful plants and I particularly loved the Ladybird Poppies and the Alliums. As you said, it was such a slow start in our gardens and it's so nice that they've all come to fruition. I think a lot of us lost our Nemesias as it was a harsh winter. Mine usually come through no trouble at all. Thank you for sharing the results of all your hard work.

Beautiful video as always …would love to see how you prune the Rambling Rector … yours is stunning …we have a very vigorous “Paul’s Himalayan Musk” on a 6 ft fence too and it needs controlled … not a repeat flowerer of course! Thank you

Thank you so much, Margaret. Paul’s Himalayan Musk is an absolute beauty! Our RR has two main stems, one trained horizontally along the fence to the left and one to the right, about 5 feet above ground. After flowering, we trim all the branches long these main stems back to about half a foot in length. In early Autumn, we trim again here and there, shaping up any overly-long growth. This makes RR the most high maintenance plant in our garden but very much cherished when in bloom. Happy spring gardening and best wishes.

Hello and thank you Annette. We do leave the pots out, mostly selected to be frost-proof for the UK climate, and many over 20 years old. Occasionally, a pot develops a crack but our quick ‘secret’ fix is to bind with heavy duty waterproof tape and paint over the tape to blend it in!

You have such a beautiful garden and flower pots. Those pots are so expensive where I live. May I ask, what else do you plant in those pots after the tulips are done? They only last 2 weeks for me bc we have a short spring and they don’t look that attractive afterwards.

Thank you for your lovely message. In the largest pots, most tulips are in secondary plastic containers which we can remove and hide away once the flowers fade, replaced by agapanthus or salvia. Some perennial tulips have companion plants in their pots (poppies or nemesia) for year round interest. Best wishes and thanks for watching.
