Wyatt seems like a great kid, seriously. But I think him failing the test is for the best. Make sure he's ready. If his left foot is anywhere near the brake he's not ready. He didn't instinctively put his seatbelt on. He can't back up. And hes understandably still very nervous driving. My brother almost got me killed because he wasn't ready to drive yet. Just be careful. He will get there but patience is important.

I took my permit test and my driving test each 3 times due to overthinking and needing more practice. Not passing the 1st time doesn’t mean you won’t ever pass, just that you aren’t ready yet. You’ve got this!

Don't worry about the cars Wyatt. The only thing that actually matters is that you and the rest that were in the car are safe. Everything else is replaceable. Sad to hear you didn't pass but remember you didn't have a lot of practise. With some more practise you can make it and driving can become your thing 🤗

I passed my permit test the 2nd time and my driver’s test the 1st try. The driver’s test isn’t that hard as long as you practice driving a lot so I believe that Wyatt will pass the next time!

i understood what Wyatt went through. i got my permit back in july 2021 and 2 years later tried taking my road test. failed it and then tried again a week later and failed it again. i was so discouraged after that moment. i think it was because i was nervous and not as confident and needed more practice. a year later i tried again and felt more confident. and i passed my road test!🥳. not everyone will pass it immediately and it takes a lot of time and effort to get it right. sooner or later you will be driving as if nothing happened

About 25 years ago that I gotten my first car before getting my license to drive. My 1st car was a 1999 Ford Contour SE. I did took the test twice. I failed the first one by 2 points in mid November 1999. I did passed the 2nd test in mid December 1999. It was easy to drive around town where I lived in. I didn’t have any light singles. It is okay to fail once and even pass on it for the 2nd time. A really good education on driving is watching Canada’s Worst Drivers Ever.

Wyatt it's okay if you didn't pass the first time no one is perfect when it comes to taking their first driving test and all you need to focus is taking lots of driving practice with your dad and you will ace the driver test the second time you take it which I'm assuming it will be in a few weeks or even more. You got this never give up I get that you got nervous for your driving test but that's normal and everyone has gone through that stage and it's not embarrassing to share this story because everyone has gone through this either their first time, second time or even more. When I took my driving test few months ago for the first time I got really nervous too and I got some points deducted off my score from parallel parking and back up corner in Washington. But somehow I ace my test and passed with a 82% which I didn't think that would be possible after all those time and months that I took practicing with my dad every week ends and sometime week days after I finished school or had free time and I would be practicing for at least maybe 5 ish hours with in between breaks everyday until my dad felt that it is the time I should schedule my appointment and day and time to take it during this year of summer. You got this I believe in you hopefully you could read my comments and take it serious and work super hard everyday practicing the mistake you are making over and over when it comes to driving on the road and in parking spot and until you feel you are ready to take the test and ace it and believing in yourself. Also what have helped me a alot was 2 days before I take my test I would pray when I wake up, when I go to bed and even in the afternoon and getting the hope that I know god has listen to me as well as my dad side of the family who passed away who is watching over me listening to my prayers, the day before and the night before, as well as my parents and they would pray for me that I could pass my test and to get my license before I start school and I passed it with all the hope I had told myself and to believe in myself and never say that I will not pass even though I have said that and got real nervous. I hope this helps Wyatt I may have wrote a lot but I hope this can help you and even if you went in to re take the driving test and pass or not pass hopefully you pass and not having to worry no more with the stress on top of hitting the dealership car too that must have been real embarrassing and stressful having to pay them for the damage you made on top of how you were saving up to buy your very first own car too.

When I was Wyatt’s age I would get really tense when I was learning how to drive I would forget which one was the accelerator or the brake and I would look at the steering wheel instead of the road lmao I couldn’t even make turns because of how tense I was I still get a little tense at 23 I still need to get use to it and I stay away from highways I only drive on roads and from home to work

It is okay Wyatt, When I took my driving test when I was 17 I managed to pass it on the 1st time but got 25 points taken off 25/30 for 1. Forgot to turn signal to start test 2. Turn to short 3. Parked to close or to far from the curb. But you have next time and you have to believe in yourself. Go slow and steady and go the speed limit.

you’re supposed to have the seat adjusted to what he’s comfortable in while driving. that steering wheel was way too high, could’ve adjusted it a little lower, and his seat was a little to far back, his arms shouldn’t need to extend all the way out while driving atleast for the first time. That’s uncomfortable.
