honestly I love how low-level gear looks in this game. it looks (diagetically) cheap while still being high-fantasy stylish enough for ff14's purposes of making your blorbo look cool

It's really interesting how they wrote the Warriors of Light reference so that it works ambiguously; So if you're a 1.0 player you ARE one of the Warriors of Light, where if you started in 2.0 or later you're a new hero picking up that mantle, or a reincarnation.

There are three versions of the ARR intro. -End of an Era is the one that played when the server shut down and ends with Bahamut's flare. -A New Beginning is the one you launch from the main menu in the game, with the Bahamut attack followed by the WoL arriving in the "reborn" world. -Flame of Truth is what you unlock with the Coils of Bahamut.
