Thanks staying there in Jan 25 for a couple of weeks. Can I use the US dollar to pay for things at the hotel?

Hi and thanks for watching our video. Yes! You can use the U.S. dollar anywhere in Panamá. Their economy is based on the dollar so except for coins they use dollars. You can also use U.S. coins along with the Balboa. The one thing I will say is that sometimes it is harder to get change, so for sure only use $20 dollar bills or smaller. All of Panama uses the U.S. Dollar, however a $20 is big so not everyone can change it.
