When old comb has super thick cell walls (from all the old cocoons left behind) the emerging new bees are actually smaller bees. Would this happen sooner with this new foundation? Will I have to scrape off the foundation every 3 years or so and start over?

Hi there! Premier Foundation's cell walls are actually thinner than other standard foundations', so if nothing else the build-up of old comb would be comparable. We would not expect old comb to build up quicker with Premier Foundation. Hope that answers your question!

Great product Jeff! I have been buying mine from Greg in Ohio. Can’t wait to try some of the new hive bodies next season.

Have almost 100 in play right now. They drew out evenly (with or without added wax). I dropped them in during a flow and have found almost no brood in them (only honey) despite placement. Hat's off to you for innovation, just don't know if my bees would require regression to downsize to the smaller cells. - Also had some frames from another manufacturer here that were so devoid of wax the bees attempted cross-combing with the little wax that was on them. Ironically, they were sold with wax-dipped boxes. - A friend told me yours would draw out later in the year (and potentially earlier) given the smaller amount of wax needed to construct the matrix. I live in the mountains, so even an extra week or two on each end of the season is significant. I'll play around over the next few weeks. Love the concept, just need to see if my bees will lay them up.

Found a frame yesterday with about 30% brood and the remainder in capped stores. There was no pollen ring around the brood so I think they just got slammed with where to put some groceries quickly. Thanks
