You have control over this 'Addiction', any addiction can be summed up as trying to regulate an unregulated nervous system. Stress, anxiety, boredom etc can all lead to addictive patterns. Buy some push up stands and start doing push ups daily, attend a boxing gym and/or a BJJ gym, it will help ground yourself and move forward.
