Melissa Maker congrats! My first child i had to tell my mom first cuz she had to bring me my test cuz my hubby was at work and we only had one car lol with my second it was right around mothers day weekend so i gave my mom her gift and in the bag was also my pregnancy test and a card which i signed from me my son and little one to come and everyone was so excited my mom was smiling ear to ear my mother inlaw was gitty jumping around in her seat reading her card it was soo awesome!

That is exactly how we announced our pregnancy to our friends and family too! It is so sweet because now that my daughter is getting older we look back at the pics and she is just so thrilled... For one of our reveals my girlfriends invited me out to a bar. Knowing I wasn't going to order any drinks I excused myself to the bathroom before we ordered, found our waitress and told her that I was going to ask her to take our picture right before we ordered. I announced my pregnancy as she was taking the picture and it worked out perfectly! Such a fun, memorable way to announce it!!

For my first daughter I told my mom while eating spaghetti...she almost spat it all out! Then Christmas '15 I announced I was pregnant by wrapping the positive test in a stocking and giving to hubby. He opened it in format of everyone but stayed quiet about it. The bigger announcement was a few weeks later.....twins!!

I just have 1 piece of constructive criticism in case you have a 2nd baby someday: get someone else behind the camera because Chad should be in the photos too!!! he seems so excited to be a dad, I'm so happy for you both. (ps your friends will never forget this cute stunt you pulled on them, so good luck trying to ever take another group photo without them getting wildly suspicious!)

Awh so cute. Love all the little stories. On our second(current) pregnancy we told our little girl who is 3 first and we brought her around to everyone's house and she got to tell everyone she was going to be a big sister. What an awesome idea and to keep these pictures for memories! We told the news to our parents on Father's Day and we found perfect shirts for both of sets of parents from Target that said "Great dads get promoted to grandpas". It took a second to sink in but both families were ecstatic!

So exciting!!! What a fun way to share the news! My husband and I went through a long time with fertility issues so my family knew very early with our first daughter- however our second daughter was a surprise so no one was expecting to hear another announcement from us - we had my in laws over for dinner and I just casually handed her a pair of pants (they were maternity pants) and told her I needed them hemmed, please...... she was looking at them “no problem” and then she starts freaking out - WAIT these are maternity!!!!!!!!!!” Is was great!!!

Me and my husband tried to get pregnant for 3 long years and when we finally did we found out on Father's Day and it was so magical that was last year and now my beautiful daughter is here in my arms and is now 8 months old and an absolute blessing 💖

How sweet, great memories for sure. When we anounced out pregnancy it was right around mothers day, so for my husbands parents we got his mom a card; but instead of it saying Happy Mother's day Mom it said Grammy. She had to read it twice to really figure out what we were saying. She was so excited. It was her first grandchild as well. His dad was pretty quiet but you could see that he was so proud. The bigger shock came a couple of months later when we called him to tell him that not only was he going to have one grandson, but two! Yup identical twin boys. We actually had my husbands mom with us that day and to make it even more special; it was also their wedding anniversary.

Awww, how sweet! I told my mom and dad by just showing them the positive pregnancy test. They flipped out. It was their first grandchild. With my in-laws, I gift wrapped a white onesie and gave the gift to my mother in law for her to open in front of the family. She thought it was a belated Christmas gift and they all screamed when she pulled out the onesie. It was so fun and exciting to announce the pregnancy!

New subbie here! My husband and I found out on our anniversary. We went on a small vacation and came back with a “souvenir “ for my parents. It was baby cloths and we wrapped it up really nice for them. The rest of my family we announced on Mother’s Day and I was able to get their reaction on video.

La Dama del Caribe he knew my cycle & recognized the early symptoms ; then I had the blood test ;there were no tests you could buy at the drug store back then!He called the lab , found out the results & then told me it was positive!

Congratulations!!! We find out I'm pregnant that same week of Father's Day too! I hope you guys are doing well. We announced by calling asap for our parents since my in laws are grandbaby crazy, lol. My mom knew I took 2 tests at home, and my hubby didn't believe me. We asked a friend's kid to announce before we ate at a big gathering, and our friends for the most part we told them there was a new gamer in the room, or just said I'm pregnant. Social media I posted a pic with our dog with a sign that she was going to be a big sis in March 2018. :)
