We are super excited to share our journey to Tassie with you! After trying to get on the ship for so long, we decided to just take the Landcruiser and have a romantic weekend away together, no caravan, dad, son or dog. We whipped around the top of half of Tassie in 2 days seeing the most amazing sights but not being able to film it all due to laws over there. Come on the journey and see what we get up to and how you can prepare for your next trip to Tassie.

Hey there, spirit of Tas worker here! Just regarding taking veggies back on the ship, you are absolutely more than welcome to take as much produce from Tasmania to Geelong as you like it’s only restricted when entering Tasmania due to the states bio-security, 11:17

Thanks for sharing your quick Tasmania trip. Tasmania is an amazing destination, from the friendly people to the phenomenal food/produce. Totally different to any other Australian State, reminds me of the South Island of New Zealand. Surprised you appeared to only spend a few days there with the cost of taking a car over.

Yep, it's a natural wonder ❤️. We'll absolutely get back there. True, it was a short trip, we had booked a long time ago. and reluctantly had to get back to Vic for other commitments.

next time you’re at the ice cream shop try the peach and lemon Myrtle..so yummy. And the veggie and homemade goodies is always my go to place when I’m up Scottsdale way. That little blue lake there is a camping area on the other side from where you were standing but I’m not sure where you get into it I’ve not been there but I’ve had family that have. Gets very popular over Xmas.

Hi Guys Thanks for the coverage of where I live. You are able to take most fruit and Vegs from Tas to the mainland The Caravan park (Tasman) you stayed at is very good as a food spot (Parkside Bar and Kitchen) and there is an Australian award winning French Resturant (Furneaux) in St Helens that the food is to die for. The pod cast you mentioned although a story of a sad event with this child taking her life there has been another inquest where the findings that there was no other persons involved.

Went to Tassie about 6 years ago and totally recommend going and seeing "The Wall" at Derwent River going from East to West from Queenstown or From East to West from Hobart. A guy is carving a huge wall back to front with depictions of all around Tasmania. Amazing. Unfortunately you cannot take photos but it is beautiful. We were recommended to go and see it from friends.

Troy, and Laura, we watch all your videos, and enjoy them immensely. We caravan and tow with a 300 - just a question Troy, are you using 0w20 or as Toyota suggests 5w30 oil for high speed or extreme load conditions (towing)? Seems that the lower viscosity 0w20 oil is controversial for hotter Australian conditions, particularly if the vehicle is worked hard. Respectful KZbin videos from Just Autos and Engine care are finding spun big end bearings from this thinner 0W20 oil.
@JourneyUnknown
@JourneyUnknown 2 ай бұрын
Hi Brian, Thanks for watching and supporting our channel 👍. lve spoken to Toyota about changing our oil to 5/30 for the reason you've mentioned. The service department won't change it. They said Toyota specifically wants them to put 0/20 oil in. personally, l think that's ridiculous as it is specified in the manual either 0/20 or 5/30 for hot conditions. l mentioned to Toyota. We'll change it to 5/30 ourselves. they said, "That's fine 🤔

@@JourneyUnknown Thanks for your answer Troy, similar situation with a dealer here in Adelaide, although they did say - reluctantly - they would change our 300 to 5w30 at the next service. (Jan. 25 ) However, after quite a discussion with the gentleman at the service desk, they strongly suggested we stick with 0W20. It's got something to do with emissions, and slightly better fuel economy, I believe. I feel they don't even carry 5W30 in the service department, we would probably have to supply our own ...
