A couple suggestions: invest your early cloth into a scythe, you use that to hit cattail and you get like 5-7 per plant I think, so it pays itself back quickly. Also, use the scythe on aloe vera which spawns around the central areas and the entrances of the holes with the ponds and you get a bunch from each as well, which is a great way to get a lot of water quickly or make upgraded bandages. Worst really well for rupu vine too, yielding like 30 per. If you cant afford the scythe a sickle will do the job too, not as well but still a big upgrade from picking by hand. I suggest investing into foresters armor as it is fairly cheap to make and pretty good until you can reliably make the more endgame armors, and can also be upgraded into brittle bone arnor with 8 chitin plates (jump onto the jolteon’s back from the dinghy legs and do overhead swings for an easy kill, then harvest chitin with a pick. I also suggest you make a dinghy so you can pack your base and be able to carry more storage and crafting stations safely.
