I've seen the death whistle used quite a few times. That "hiss" around @21:00 sounded like either a bunch of little beads (or something like beads) being dumped on the floor OR a rattlesnake.

Some of those large cockchafers can rub their back legs in alarm and make that noise. Also sounded like a deep exhale of breath… Think a rattler would keep Rattling a bit longer in agitation…?

Dave is so cute. He always sounds like he’s trying to engage with children spirits regardless of location. “We have red lights. A blue light. Some purple lights. Do you like the lights? The lights are pretty” “ how many is this, how many fingers am holding up?” 😂 but it’s not the words or requests so much as his demeanor as he’s asking. reminded me of red fish blue fish 1 fish 2 fish. He’s the dr Seuss and Mr Roger’s of the paranormal world.

I have actually seen a couple of other creators use the Aztec Death Whistle. Proving Demons and Twin Paranormal are the two I know of. It does always seem to invoke a change in energy when used. They have a very I terestibg story. It absolutely is supposed to sound like someone screaming in agony. Connors was the best sounding one I've heard so far.

Me to once or twice. I think it was Josh I saw used it in an episode but did look like this one. This I thought looked more antique and had a whole different look. This one really sounded much more creepier to 🫣 It had a really different form, I might be wrong 🤷‍♀️ but from those I have seen.

The more investigations I watch, the more I'm convinced time doesn't work the same for spirits like it does for us. It seems to fluctuate wildly, with some answering insanely quick and other times taking minutes to respond. I wonder if sometimes the lack of an answer isn't due to unwillingness, rather time being slow enough on their end that they physically don't have time to respond.

I live vicariously through your investigations, therefore I WOULD NOT stay alone on the third floor of Adam's Hall eating a bologna sandwich :) I loved the "We're leaving" harmony :) As someone else has already commented, it is very much appreciated that you do not have "background" music throughout the whole investigation. By not having a constant hum or scary-type music playing, you offer us a chance to experience what it would be like to be there, since I'm guessing that you don't play music (sorry, I don't know the technical word for the soundtrack being played throughout shows) while on an investigation, trying to listen for sounds. The hiss sounded like a rattlesnake to me. You got a hiss then a long rattle. When Paranormal Nightmare investigated there Josh also got a hiss and rattlesnake sound when he went in a room and quickly got out, with him saying it sounded like a rattlesnake in there. You were there in cold weather but the snakes can stay warm in the walls. It was probably poking its head out a hole in the wall when you walked by so it hissed and rattled at you.
