In 1975, mum and i had a 3 week holiday from Sydney, Australia to California, Nevada and Arizona We travelled by coach from Las Angeles to San Francisco (Hotel Mark Hopkins) . From San Francisco to Yosemite National Park to Bakersfield, to Barstow and Las Vegas (Circus Circus). From Las Vegas to Hover Dam, to Kingman then onto the Grand Canyon (Grand Canyon Squire Inn) From Grand Canyon To kingman ,to Needles, to Barstow , then back to L.A. Then on to Anaheim staying at the Anaheim Sheraton. I can't believe how the places we went to have changed so much, particulaly Las Vegas. Still we had a great time. The bus driver was so friendly and everyone on the bus never complained once. I took a photo from the front of the bus of the highway just before you enter Nevada, near Primmo. I found the exact same place i took the photo when viewing one of the driving videos . Honestly, it looks no different than it did, 49 years ago, same power poles, same roadway, same strip of desert and mountains in the distance. The only big difference was there were hardly any cars on the road, and not one truck.

Wow, what an amazing trip and amazing memories! It would be nice to take a few weeks off and explore. We are hoping to head your way in a few years and take a couple of weeks to explorer. I have been to Melbourne and the surrounding area but Crystal has not. I am sure Las Vegas was probably the biggest change but even the LA/Anaheim area has changed quite a bit over the decades. My mom was born in Southern California and the area where she has grown up has changed quite a bit. If you like exploring those small desert towns, check out the KZbin Channel Sidetrack Adventures. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment.

We love the Fairfield inn! The rooms have always been clean and spacious and it’s right across the street from the parks! Plus, panara and McDonald’s are on the way to the parks so it makes for a super convenient stop for breakfast

Fantastic video, with so many hotels to choose from in the Anaheim Resort area this gives a good choice for all budgets. Trying to get free hot breakfast, free parking and free laundry would be ideal! Having only Valet Parking would put me off. The Westin does look like a wonderful hotel and that’s where I’d like to stay when I return to Disneyland.

Thank you for watching! We are really looking forward to staying at the Westin again! It’s a beautiful hotel.

Thanks as always for the insightful video. I couldn't believe how really close and easy it is to get to the parks from Harbor Blvd. That's definately something for myself and your viewers to consider when booking a stay. I'd say to do your homework and figure out what works best for you, it might be a *little* outside your price point - but that piece of mind & comfort goes a long way. Personally, I'm not a fan of a motels. & that was re-inforced when I stayed at Stovall's (no matter how good the brekkie was) I'm already plotting a return, and saving accordingly. For me it's short distance, especially at the end of night, hotel style, bath tub & free breakfast on site. Everyone else's mileage may vary and it's your vacation. Let me say this to any first time viewers, Crystal & Jim are some of the most informative and helpful channels here. Not only do they care about Disneyland, but are willing to answer questions. Such a help in plotting and planning my 22 & 24 trips! Finally- who wears just socks in a hotel/motel. That's why I bring my slippers!

Great choices! We are back to the drawing board as far as our next trip goes! My oldest swore he was done with basketball ... then he and the coach had a chat ... now he is back in basketball! Oy! So now we're debating dates and DL VS DW!

Ohh. Debating between DL and WDW is always a tough one, but both would be super fun!! Have fun deciding!!!

No dice on valet parking so I'm glad you mentioned that. Another easy thumbs up!

Yes, we would not be thrilled if we decided to drive. Luckily we did not have a car that trip! We know some people love valet and some people don’t want to deal with valet. Totally understand! Thank you for watching.

They always forget about The Anaheim Desert Inn Suites. Two minutes from Disneyland. Nothing fancy but they do include a continental breakfast. Cheapest hotel right across from Disneyland.
@AnaheimParkTourist3 күн бұрын
The price is reasonable at Desert Inn, but there were a few concerns. We found the noise level to be disruptive, and the mattresses were very thin, with ours sagging noticeably. Bed comfort is crucial for us, especially after long days in the park from opening to closing. Unfortunately, the poor mattress quality impacted our overall experience. While we've stayed here many times before and will likely return in the future, we hope to see improvements in the bedding for our next visit. Thank you for watching!

We will also be showing the Desert Inn in a video in the next month or so. So we haven’t forgotten about it! ☺️

Thanks for sharing! First time visitors here, planning to stay three nights and visit the parks over two days. I can’t decide between the westin and the courtyard. We don’t mind taking an uber once in the morning from the westin, but coming back to the room in the afternoon for a rest might be too much hassle? For that reason the courtyard seems more attractive, although they will be going through refurbishment when we go. Price wise, both are very similar except the westin’s rates includes breakfast. Is it difficult to find a place to rest within the park? We will bring a picnic rug.
@AnaheimParkTourist3 күн бұрын
@@Addahandletocontinue4 how exciting! First trip! Both hotels are a great choice. Have you watched our walking videos for both hotels? That may help you decide. Here are the links: Real Time walk from Courtyard Marriott Theme Park Entrance to Disneyland kzbin.info/www/bejne/nV6yoaCHp56cjKs The Westin Anaheim Resort Real Time Walk | How to Walk to Disneyland kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4bcZ4afhbSBZtU There is some grassy areas in toon town that people like to sit on and rest. We like to “rest” in the tiki room. The back seats on each side have a back rest and are more comfortable. We also like the upstairs in the Golden Horsehoe. At DCA, we like to find a bench near grizzly river run and relax. Hope that helps and have a wonderful trip!!! Please let us know if you have any other questions. ☺️
