I had an audition for one of the dance schools once that still haunts me to this day; it started with a short group ballet and contemporary class and after that, we were called in one-by-one to show our 1min solos..so I walk in, introduce myself blah blah, and they say "start whenever you want" and I was like, "okay, whom should I give USB with my music?" and they were looking at me like I just fell from the moon.. apparently we had to perform our solos without the music I never got that memo 😂 and let me tell you, there is nothing worse than dancing in a really really really quiet room and the only sound being your heavy breathing 🙈 oh and at another dance audition, there was like 50 of us packed in a relatively small dance studio for a 2hr class. All good, BUT we didn't get any audition numbers when we checked in?? and then a month later we got an e-mail saying whether we were chosen to be in the "competitive" group or in the "reserves" one.. I still have zero clue on how they decided on that 🤷‍♀️
