Great video- but skipped over the indigenous people that were here before the white settlers. Their story deserves to be told as well.

It is interesting that the first Mayor of the incorporated City of Brooklyn Park (after being a Township) was Ed Shimek, a potato farmer. And another well known mayor was omitted, Jesse Ventura, who went on to become Governor of Minnestoa. Of course, Ed and Jesse were both from the northeast corner of the city and not considered part of the group near Osseo that "ran the show" in those days.

Refugees from troubled lands swarm to Brooklyn Park and Huntington Place, who could ask for more? 😂 This guy himself quoted "Brooklyn Dark" and No it hasn't changed one bit, and if it has changed, it's for the worse.
