Jazakhallaah. Ameen 🤲🏽 We stayed at the Swissotel Makkah Hotel. We paid for the Haram view when we checked in at the hotel and was on the 37th floor.

Assalamu alaykum, what things did you take for your kids, can you give brief information please?

Wasalaam. For my older son I took a few jubbahs/taubes as that’s what he mainly wore and about 5 pairs of shorts and t-shirts when we went sightseeing and out and about etc. my daughter I did the same with abayas and dresses. My little boy, just shorts and T-shirts. I took colouring books and a couple of other games for the plane and lots of snacks. We had a pushchair and also took neck fans for the hot weather. We also took drink bottles with us and filled these up with Zamzam water in Makkah and took them back to the hotel as well. Take a pair of sandals each for the kids so they can take it on and off easily and a pair of good walking shoes for sightseeing. Take a backpack to carry your sandals in when you take them off. Anything else you want to know, let me know.

Asalaamualaikum sister. How.much didnthe taxi from makkah to madina cost for the van type vehicle as i have 4 kids and InshaAllah thay type should do for us.p.s where were the shops at 23.00

Walaikum Salaam. We got a transfer from Jeddah airport to Makkah and then from Makkah to Madina for a total cost of £245. It was with the same company and similar car size for both journeys. As for the shops, I can’t remember the street name but all I remember it being at the back of the Makkah Haram area near where the taxi rank is, you just walk to your left and continue walking and all the shops are there.

Wasalaam, you cannot use the stroller in the Mataaf area (ground floor) however, they do have a section to park your stroller and you can go by foot in the Mataaf area. Otherwise you can use the stroller in the second floor.

Is it easy performing umra with kids or not??

I would say performing Umrah can be challenging with kids, obviously depending on the ages of your children. Mine were 3, 6 and 8. As we performed Umrah really early in the morning, my 2 younger children were asleep during the whole process. We had a pram for my 3 year old and a disability pram for my 6 year old. We had to be on the first floor to perform Umrah. The circumference of doing tawaaf on that floor is a lot more and did take a lot longer. It definitely was a lot harder than doing it closer to the Kaabah, but I can honestly say it’s 100% manageable and you definitely get the strength to plough through. I would take my kids again without a doubt if Allaah calls us again inshaAllaah.
